We have an exciting opportunity for someone to become the Principal Ecologist for Worcestershire Wildlife Consultancy. As Principal Ecologist you will be providing technical leadership within our consultancy, focusing on delivering and overseeing high quality ecological work.
You will work closely with our team of ecologists, mentoring and supporting them to develop their skills whilst maintaining strong technical standards. You will also work alongside the Business Manager in supporting the development of the consultancy business, identifying opportunities for growth and implementing procedures to improve efficiency.
Worcestershire Wildlife Consultancy has been delivering high quality ecological services to clients in Worcestershire and beyond for over 30 years. The work of the ecological consultancy team plays a vital role in delivering our vision of a wilder Worcestershire where there is more nature everywhere for everyone.
About You
- A minimum of five years professional experience in ecological consultancy and educated to degree level in an ecological/environmental subject
- A passion for wildlife conservation and practical ecological application
- Excellent communication and report writing skills
- Good time and project management skills
- A wide understanding of ecological issues and a holder of multiple protected species licences
- A full UK driving licence

Salary – £40,000 – £46,000 depending on experience
Contract – Permanent, Full-time (35 hours per week)
