JOB DESCRIPTION
Part-Time Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 76 year old woman living in the Tonypandy area with a diagnosis of Dementia.
I currently receive support from an agency and my granddaughter. I am a pleasant and caring woman looking for a PA to support me to leave the house more often and to attend a day centre.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Looking for a PA to support me to get out of the house as much as possible and to support me to attend social activities and meet new people.
Potentially support at home when I am not up to going up or feeling unwell.
RATE(S) OF PAY
£14.50 per hour
40p per mile where applicable
HOURS OF WORK
6 hours per week available.
Ideally to be worked in two 3 hour shifts.
One day centre is 10:30am – 12:30pm on a Tuesday, shift woule be 10am – 1pm on this day should we attend.
TASKS CAN INCLUDE
- Taking me to day centre in Pontypridd or Treorchy.
- Taking me out shopping.
- Going to local café with me.
- Supporting me at home when I am not up to going out.
- Thinking of new places we could visit together.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
- A driver with business class insurance is preferred.
- A kind and caring person.
- A reliable and punctual person.
- Someone willing to build a relationship with me and get to know me.
- Someone who can use initiative.
ABOUT THE JOB
This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.
All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins.
Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.
Wages will be paid on a monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
