As we continue to grow, we are strengthening our Estates and Facilities team with the appointment of a skilled and proactive Fleet Manager to oversee our organisation-wide fleet.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to ensure our fleet operates efficiently, safely, and sustainably across our children’s homes, retail services, and wider business operations. This peripatetic role will lead on compliance, driver oversight, incident reporting, supplier management, and data-driven fleet performance.Key Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the organisation’s fleet, ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant, and well-maintained.
- Manage relationships with brokers, suppliers, and service providers to ensure value for money and quality standards.
- Monitor compliance with legislation, policies, and internal procedures, including grey fleet and licence checks.
- Analyse telematics and incident data to produce clear reports for senior management.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to drivers and managers on safe and legal vehicle use.
- Lead insurance reviews, claims handling, and incident investigations.
- Support the wider Facilities team with operational and asset-related requirements.
- Proven experience in fleet management, logistics, or a similar operational role.
- Strong understanding of vehicle legislation, compliance, and safety standards.
- Confident use of fleet systems, telematics, and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
- Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to analyse data.
- A collaborative, proactive approach, with the ability to work independently.
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel nationally.
