Bletchley Park is a vibrant heritage attraction, open daily to visitors, revealing the secrets and telling fascinating stories of the secret British World War Two codebreaking operations. The mission of the Bletchley Park Trust is to attract, engage and educate people from all over the world in order to inspire them with Bletchley Park’s crucial role in World War Two.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Visitor Service Assistant (Weekends) to join our Retail and Admissions team for two days per week, working both Saturday and Sunday.

Normal working hours will be 7.5 hrs per day in the summer and 6.5 hours in the Winter between 9.00 and 17.45 with ½ hour unpaid lunch break. Some evening hours will be required on occasion, to support during special events.

As a Visitor Services Assistant, you will work within admissions and the gift shop to welcome visitors and coach groups to Bletchley Park and provide exceptional service. You will assist with processing ticket sales and purchases, and issuing Multimedia Guides.

To be successful in this role you will be a team player, with a passion for amazing customer service and a strong sense of professionalism and be confident in supporting visitor queries calmly and efficiently. You will be flexible in your approach to work and be comfortable working within a busy visitor-facing role. Previous customer service/retail experience would be an advantage. This role is public-facing and, as such, uniform will be provided and a dress code is in place.

The hourly rate for this role is below, increasing following the successful completion of a 6-month probationary period.

  • Under 18’s£10.03 (£10.41 post probation)
  • Over 18’s£12.44 (£12.71 post probation)
