Job title:                Apprentice HealthCare Assistant
Annual Salary:   £14,723 - £23,810 per annum (national minimum wage for your age)
Location:              Hospice and Wirral Community
Hours:                    Working 37.5 hours per week over a 7 days a week rota
Contract:             Fixed term for the duration of the apprenticeship with permanent

     role upon successful completion of course.

We are delighted to be launching our brand-new Healthcare Assistant Apprentice role
and are looking for two caring, empathetic people who are committed to making a
difference to people's lives.

Wirral Hospice St John’s provides free care and support for adults with deteriorating,
life limiting illnesses. We also support carers and loved ones; families are at the heart
of everything we do.

A typical day in the job includes:

•  Assisting and working under supervision with other members of the hospice

team

•  Giving personal care to patients, including washing and dressing
•  Supporting patients with their nutritional needs
•  Communicating with patients and families sensitively and professionally
•  Following and updating care plans

Support Worker Apprenticeship with a Level 2 Diploma in Care

The two posts are Fixed term contracts of employment for the duration of the
apprenticeship, upon successful completion of the course and (if required) attainment of
your driving licence, your contract of employment will become permanent, which is
subject to satisfactory completion of your probationary period.
