We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Deputy Subject Leader in Mathematics to join our dynamic and supportive department at Westminster City School, a thriving boys’ comprehensive school, which boasts a vibrant and high-achieving mixed-gender Sixth Form.

Mathematics is a popular and high-performing subject at all key stages, particularly at KS5, where uptake and outcomes are strong across A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics. 


About the role:

• Support the Subject Leader in the strategic and operational leadership of the Mathematics department

• Take lead responsibility for Key Stage 5 Mathematics, including curriculum development, tracking progress, and supporting teaching and learning at A Level

• Contribute to whole-department planning, assessment, and quality assurance

• Play a key role in professional development within the department

• Teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including A Level Mathematics and/or Further Mathematics


About you:

• A qualified teacher with a strong academic background in Mathematics

• Experience of teaching A Level Mathematics, with a sound understanding of the KS5 curriculum and assessment requirements

• Proven track record of excellent classroom practice and strong student outcomes

• Ability to lead and inspire both students and colleagues

• Committed to inclusive education and high standards for all

• Keen to contribute to wider school improvement and leadership
