HR & Business Support Partner Organisation: Hyndburn Leisure Location: Hyndburn Leisure Centre Salary: £32,597 Hours: Full-time Closing Date: Wednesday 29 October 2025 at 10:00am Interview Date: Wednesday 5 November 2025 About Us At Hyndburn Leisure, we’re passionate about improving lives through leisure, health and wellbeing. We’re a dynamic, community-focused charity that’s evolving to meet the needs of our customers, teams and local area. As part of our continued growth, we’re seeking an experienced and proactive HR & Business Support Partner to join our central team. The Role This is a key role providing integrated HR and business administration support across the organisation. You’ll help ensure operations run efficiently, decision-making is data- driven, and practices are compliant with employment legislation and internal policies. Working closely with managers, you’ll embed a culture of continuous improvement, aligning people processes and business systems with Hyndburn Leisure’s strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities Drive end-to-end recruitment and onboarding for employees and volunteers; support timely appraisals and performance improvement; design and deliver engagement, L&D and training calendars; provide first-line guidance on HR policies, escalating complex ER matters as needed. Maintain accurate people, payroll and CRM data; produce insightful dashboards and reports that inform leadership decisions, workforce planning and succession. Champion process improvement across HR and business administration; ensure compliance with GDPR, H&S and Trust policies; manage audits and risk escalation. Provide responsive support to managers and central services while delivering excellent customer service to staff, volunteers and facility users. About you We’re looking for a proactive, people-centred HR administrator who combines practical know-how with a calm, solutions-focused approach. You’ll have a strong grasp of core HR processes—recruitment, onboarding, performance management and training administration—and a working knowledge of employment law basics and statutory requirements, including GDPR, Health & Safety, and Equality & Diversity. You’re comfortable giving policy-based guidance to managers (without straying into legal advice), highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), and familiar with HR and/or CRM systems. Exceptionally organised, you can juggle multiple tasks, deadlines and calendars while maintaining high accuracy in records, reports and compliance. You’re confident analysing data and producing clear, actionable insights, and you communicate brilliantly—both in writing and face-to-face. With a strong customer-service mindset, you support managers, staff, volunteers and external partners, working collaboratively and influencing positively across teams. You don’t just keep things ticking—you spot opportunities to improve processes, implement small changes and support wider HR and operational initiatives. You’ll be educated to Level 3 (or equivalent), ideally in business, HR or administration; CIPD Level 3 is desirable but not essential. Why Join Us? Be part of a progressive, values-led organisation that’s genuinely making a difference in the community. You’ll join a supportive team that thrives on collaboration, innovation and personal growth, working together to create meaningful impact. This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll have the opportunity to shape both the employee and customer experience, contributing to a workplace that values people and purpose in equal measure. How to Apply Please submit your CV, a cover letter and the equal opportunities statement outlining how you meet the role requirements by 10:00am on Wednesday 29 October 2025. Interviews will take place on Wednesday 5 November 2025. To arrange an informal discussion about the role, call 01254 269 600 or email: hello@hyndburnleisure.co.uk
