Main Duties:

1.  Carry out Operational and Delivery Tasks

Key responsibilities include:

•  To  liaise  with  the  Community  Cohesion  Manager  and  Premier  League  Inspires
Coordinator to develop engaging and unique programmes to be delivered in school
and the community.

•  Work with the Belonging and Social Connectivity department to develop and share

resources and to enhance the provision.

•  Develop relationships with young people, adults and stakeholders who attend

Foundation schemes

•  Support targeted programmes addressing social isolation, inequality, and community

division.

•  Coordinate  logistics  including  venues,  risk  assessments,  materials,  and  session

delivery.

•  Ensure all sessions are inclusive, engaging, and meet the needs of participants.
•  Provide whole group and intentional one-to-ones for young people aged 11+ across

Key Stages 3 and 4.

•  Lead on diverse educational programmes, supporting learners with progressions.
•  Deliver, as required, holiday activities, evening and weekend sessions linked to health

and wellbeing, education and skills

•  Guide  participants  through  challenging  periods  and  help  guide  them  in  changing

attitudes and behaviour

•  Challenge participants in a positive manner to help improve their personal and social

skills

•  Plan,  deliver,  and  evaluate  other  high-quality  activities  and  events  that  celebrate

diversity and bring people together.

2.  Follow FOL Procedures and Reporting

Key responsibilities include:

•  Work  in  line  with  Foundation  of  Light  policies,  including  safeguarding,  health  and

safety, equality, and data protection.

•  Accurately  record  participant  data,  outcomes,  and  impact  information  using  the

Foundation’s reporting systems.

•  Contribute  to  funding  reports,  case  studies,  and  success  stories  demonstrating

project impact.

•  Attend  staff  training,  meetings,  and  development  sessions  to  support  continuous

improvement.

•  Promote the Foundation’s mission and values in all aspects of delivery.
•  Ensure team targets are met
•  Carry  out  consistent  assessment  tools  throughout  each  programme  to  identify

participant attitudes.

•  Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, GDPR, health and safety, equality and
•  diversity, and relevant legislation.
•  Work with other Foundation teams to achieve the charity’s strategic aims
•  Liaise with Safeguarding Officer as appropriate.
•  Support volunteers, apprentices and trainees.
•  Support schools in meeting OFSTED Good/Outstanding grades through the quality
of targeted intervention and other educational sessions (such as collapsed curriculum
days,  the  PL  Inspires  Challenge,  cultural  capital  opportunities  and  celebration
events).

3.  Build Relationships and Partnerships

Key responsibilities include:

•  Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, community groups,

schools, faith organisations, and partner agencies.
Identify opportunities for joint working and partnership development that strengthen
community cohesion outcomes.

•  Engage  with  key  stakeholders  to  promote  understanding,  inclusion,  and  shared

community values.

•  Work with third parties such as the police, fire service, YOT to enhance opportunities

for young people

•  Support the wider Foundation team in other activities, including doing the minimum

of three volunteer events per year.

•  Represent the Foundation positively at community events and local initiatives.
•  Work in collaboration with schools, community groups and local authority to identify

target areas and potential learners for appropriate Youth Work initiatives.

•  Motivate and encourage learners, seeking additional support from outside agencies

if required.

Other duties:

You will be required to undertake other duties from time to time as required.

Any potential permanent changes to your role will be discussed, and agreement reached
prior  to  being  undertaken.  You  will  be  notified  of  any  permanent  change  in  writing.    In
addition to your normal duties, you may be required to undertake additional or other duties
as necessary to meet the needs of the Foundation of Light.

Staff are required to work with volunteers in a way of mutual respect and commitment to
organisational  goals  and  objectives.  This  includes  staff  who  do  not  directly  supervise
volunteers but may engage with them within the organisation.
