Pastoral Coordinator Job Description

Are you a passionate and organised individual with a heart for ministry and community engagement? Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church is seeking a Pastoral Coordinator to support and lead sacramental preparation programmes, volunteer development, and faith formation initiatives within our vibrant parish.

Your Role:

As Pastoral Coordinator, you will work closely with the Parish Priest and pastoral team to:
Help coordinate First Holy Communion, Confirmation, and RCIA programmes
Recruit, train, and support volunteers and catechists
Liaise with families and diocesan partners
Maintain programme calendars, records, and evaluations
Ensure safeguarding compliance and uphold Catholic teaching

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking someone who also embodies our diocesan values of Competence, Reliability, Honesty, Perseverance, and Love.

A practicing Roman Catholic with a strong understanding of Catholic social teaching
Experience in catechetical ministry, teaching, or pastoral work
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to lead, collaborate, and work independently
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Desirable qualifications include a BA in Catholic Theology, CCRS, or Maryvale Certificate in Catechesis.

Experience working in a faith-based or charitable setting is welcome but not essential.
