Additionally, they will be responsible for bakingand preparation for the following day. They will be responsiblefor the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining facility andexpected to have exceptional food hygiene standards.Main duties and responsibilities:Supporting the Catering Manager and deputise whenrequired.Order stock from suppliers as required, ensuring value formoney.Manage the kitchen staff as required by the CateringManager.Preparing food for the lunch sitting and evening meal.Help serve lunch and the boarder’s supper.Baking cakes for school events.Always maintain a clean working environment, followingFood Hygiene Regulations, in the Undercroft, Servery,Kitchen and Washing Up Area.Wash up utensils used in the preparation of food andcrockery and cutlery used in the Undercroft.Assist with the safe and clean storage of all kitchen/diningequipment.Maintain high levels of personal presentation which in turnreflect on the presentation of food.Always maintain a professional code of conduct in relationto pupils and staff.Assist with the smooth running of the Dining Hall, helpingto maintain high standards of manners and courtesyamongst pupils at all times.Proactive in the management of Health and Safety in thekitchen and associated areasThis job description reflects the present requirements of theposition.
