About The Role
We are looking for a dynamic Welsh-speaking Administrator (maternity cover) to be at the heart of our administration office, leading day-to-day operations and taking responsibility for running and developing our key data systems.
This role is central to the day-to-day operation of DCABA, with responsibility for leading a small administrative team that provides front-line advice and support to learners and colleagues. Placing the learner at the heart of our provision is a core principle, and the post plays a key role in fostering, developing and maintaining high-quality customer care standards, contributing to a positive and supportive learning environment.
The role is based in our administrative office on Singleton Campus, but there perhaps will be occasions when attendance at external meetings or events is required, representing DCABA and advocating on behalf of Academi Hywel Teifi and the University.

We aim to establish an inclusive environment and welcome diverse applications from the following protected characteristics: age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race (including colour, nationality, ethnic and national origin), religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation.
As an inclusive and welcoming workplace, we value people for their skills regardless of their background. Applications are welcome in Welsh and will not be treated less favourably than those submitted in English.
Welsh Language Skills
The Welsh language level required for this role is Level 3 - Fluently.
The University is a proud bilingual institution, our Welsh Language Strategy outlines our aspiration to promote the language and enable our staff to engage with the language as an additional workplace skill and as a gateway to new cultural and social opportunities. Applications are welcome in Welsh and will not be treated less favourably than those submitted in English. Welsh speakers have the right to an interview in Welsh. Applicants for a role where Welsh skills are essential are expected to present their application in Welsh and will be interviewed in Welsh, if shortlisted.

Applications for this role will take the format of a CV submission and cover letter.
Applications should be submitted online in Welsh, giving careful consideration to the criteria for the post, and providing evidence of how you meet them, as well as outlining the contribution you would bring to the role.
This post carries specific and wide-ranging responsibilities, and informal enquiries are therefore welcomed should you wish to discuss the role further.
