The Beacons Orchestra, a new amateur orchestra based in Brecon is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic leader. If you have leader experience or ambitions to lead, we would love to hear from you.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the musical development of a new and growing orchestra. The leader will provide guidance within the string section and work closely with our experienced and inspiring conductor Emily Singh.
We rehearse on alternate Tuesdays 7.30-9.30 in term time

What skills and abilities do I need to have?

Amgueddfa Cymru is a family of seven national museums whose purpose is to inspire learning and enjoyment for everyone through the national collections of Wales.
Amgueddfa Cymru’s Collection Development Strategy 2023-28 was developed in consultation with a range of stakeholders across Wales, including the Welsh Museums Federation. A priority area identified during the consultation is increasing physical, intellectual and digital access to the national collection so that everyone in Wales can shape and participate in its development.
The social history and industry collections comprise of 695,000 objects and range from large transport vehicles and agricultural equipment to archives, small domestic items and intangible audiovisual material. They provide a unique record of the nation’s life. A unique and exciting opportunity has presented itself at Hadleigh Farm Estate Rare Breeds Centre for a Livestock and Education Coordinator.
The Rare Breeds Centre was opened in 2004 and is recognised as a RBST approved farm park and holds the animal attraction assured certification from NFAN. The site is a popular attraction welcoming thousands of visitors each year. With over 100 animals from rabbits to pigs as a Rare Breeds Centre our aims are to improve the genetic diversity of the breeds we have whilst educating our visitors about them.
We are looking for a highly motivated person, with exceptional people skills who will be responsible for the day-to-day operation leading a small team and committed to the development of education and care farming programmes. This is a fast-paced, dynamic, and picturesque environment. The role is diverse, hands on and you must have a desire to work in all weathers. The Livestock and Education Coordinator will be assisting the Rare Breeds Centre Manager with animal welfare and husbandry, able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills and customer service and provide educational presentations to visiting groups.
To succeed in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience of working in a Farm, Farm Park, Zoo or Wildlife setting
- Experience of supervising a team & providing training
- Knowledge of animal welfare with a range of animals including livestock
- Ability to provide presentations and be comfortable in public speaking / interaction
- Ability to be flexible and manage emergency situations
- Experience of delivery good customer service
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Physical ability to carry out essential tasks in the role
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience of using Microsoft teams

Teacher of PE Application Pack Knowing every child - Nurturing potential About us Gosfield School was established at Cut Hedge Park in 1929 when the daughter of the textile manufacturer, George Courtauld purchased the land and buildings from the executors of her late father’s estate. Constance Cicely Courtauld started a Senior Boy’s Boarding School the same year, with students relocating from Leigh Hall School in Southend. In 1944, Cicely gifted the School and estate to Headmaster John Turner who continued the work started by Cicely.
