Trinity Singers (Somerset)
MUSICAL DIRECTOR REQUIRED
TRINITY SINGERS is a choir of 30-35 amateur singers, with a reputation for quality performances of a wide range of styles, from sacred to secular, at venues in North Somerset.
We are looking for an experienced Musical Director to start in September 2026.
Historically we have put on three or four concerts a year, some being Saturday evenings and others Sunday afternoons, plus a Christmas Concert, a Carol Service, Carol Singing, and a summer concert at, for example, a Retirement complex.
Rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings, at Churchill Primary School, Pudding Pie Lane, Langford, North Somerset BS40 5EL, from 7.30 to 9.30.
REQUIREMENTS
• You should have experience of conducting and coaching choral groups and instrumental ensembles.
• Competence in, and knowledge of, vocal technique.
• Good knowledge of choral repertoire and the ability to assemble a suitable choral programme for a competent amateur choir which will provide sufficient interest and challenge both to retain and attract singers and audiences.
• Keyboard skills sufficient to support rehearsals.
• Ability to source and book professional musicians as required for planned concerts.
• You will be required to work closely with the Committee / Trustees in developing the choir.
• You would be expected to provide a suitable deputy in the event of any unavoidable or unexpected rehearsal absence.
REMUNERATION
Subject to experience and negotiation – c. £100 per rehearsal and £300 per concert day, including travel.

JOB SUMMARY
Provide life-saving, limb-saving, and function-restoring surgical care in conflict-affected, disaster, or low-resource settings. The role emphasizes trauma, burns, infection, and complex soft-tissue reconstruction under significant resource constraints, while contributing to local capacity-building and sustainable surgical systems.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function with or without reasonable accommodation.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Care
• Perform emergency and elective reconstructive procedures, including trauma reconstruction, burn excision and coverage, infection control, and complex wound management
• Apply damage-control and staged reconstructive principles appropriate to unstable patients and limited resources
• Manage perioperative and postoperative care with strong emphasis on infection prevention and complication mitigation
• Participate in triage and prioritization during mass-casualty or surge events
Teaching & Capacity Building
• Train, mentor, and supervise local surgeons, residents, nurses, and allied staff
• Contribute to development of locally appropriate surgical protocols and clinical guidelines
• Support task-sharing and skills transfer within multidisciplinary teams
Systems & Collaboration
• Work closely with anesthesia, nursing, rehabilitation, logistics, and leadership teams
• Adapt surgical plans to available infrastructure, supplies, and staffing
• Maintain accurate, ethical, and program-relevant clinical documentation
• Uphold humanitarian principles, patient dignity, and culturally responsive care

Salary is based on 40 hours a week, made up of 32 Hours gym floor with 8 hours of PT sessions. As your client base grows, you will drop your gym floor hours to maximise your PT earning potential of up to ££39,241.28 OTE.
Whilst on probation all contracts will be a minimum of 24 gym floor hours, this is to ensure you earn a guaranteed minimum salary. Your earning will increase as you establish your PT clients and improve your earning potential.

The project you will be working on is situated within the Bird Migration Unit, which investigates diverse aspects of bird migration using a wide range of approaches, including individual tracking, radar ornithology, and genomics. The project aims to uncover the energetic trade-offs of migratory landbirds across their full annual cycle and to compare these trade-offs among species and individuals exhibiting different migration strategies
We are looking for the following person from 1st of June 2026 or upon agreement,

Your tasks
As part of this collaborative research project aided by the COST Action EUFLYNET member network (https://www.euflynet.eu), you will study energy expenditure of migratory birds throughout their annual cycle based on individual tracking with multi-sensor geolocators. Using multiple species comprising long- and short-distance migrants, partial migrants, and residents, the project aims to quantify the daily energy expenditure of landbirds to uncover the energetic trade-offs and bottlenecks associated with different migration strategies. Furthermore, the project aims to model past and future energy expenditure of migratory landbirds with different migrations to predict how the energy landscape and migration patterns may shift in the face of the ongoing climate change.
Your main duties include:
• Analyse readily available and new multi-sensor geolocator data to infer migration
trajectories of individual birds of multiple species.
• Conduct fieldwork and aid project collaborators at various places across Europe to gather
geolocator tracking data of individual birds.
• Model annual energy expenditure of the tracked birds at different temporal scale based on
locomotion, thermoregulation, basal metabolism, and tissue synthesis.
• Work with past climatic data and future climate models to establish environmental
influences on optimal bird migration strategies from an energetic perspective.
• Present at international conferences and publish your findings in international scientific
journals.Your profile
- MSc in biology, movement ecology, animal physiology, or related discipline.
- Keen interest in bird migration ecology and evolution.
- Proven record of scientific writing.
- Fieldwork experience with wild animals, preferably birds.
- Background in statistical analyses and programming, preferable R.
- Working language is English, although knowledge of German is a plus.

The Role
This role is based in Redford Court/Lodge, a 29-bed Service in Liverpool, the 29 beds are split over two buildings in a small cul-de-sac the main unit has 24 beds, 20 of which as flatlets and 4 self-contained flats, opposite this is a 5-bed unit Redford Court Lodge. Both provide rehabilitation to people with an acquired brain injury. It is a unique community where the people we support can address their cognitive, behavioural, physical, and emotional difficulties.
Last year, the average length of stay was 12 weeks. Redford Court also provides a continuing rehabilitation service for those with longer term needs, this addition to the service is facilitated by Redford Court Lodge
You will be trained on how best to provide personalised support to our service users. You will follow individual support plans to meet the needs and aspirations of each person. The focus is developing independent living skills: personal hygiene, meal preparation, exercise, leisure activities, socialising – the daily routine of regular life. Were service users have identified physical needs staff are required as needed, to provide hands on personal care which will involve bathing and attending to the individual's care on their behalf. All activities of this nature are fully assessed by Occupational therapists and physiotherapist depending on need, staff are then supported to follow guidance produced by the therapists with full involvement of the service user.
It is a really varied job, with an array of activities to organise and participate in – both at Redford Court/Lodge and in the local Liverpool community: art, crafts, music, sports, gardening, shopping, swimming, and countless others. The unit is a 20-minute bus drive from Liverpool city centre and the Albert dock.
