Main duties:
- Provide individual and clusters of Early Years settings and childminders advice, guidance and support on Early Help and how to work effectively with children and families including children who have English as an additional language, narrowing the gap between EAL learners and their peers.
- Provide training and learning opportunities for registered early years providers and other partners to develop their skills, knowledge and confidence in working with children and families that have concerns or need advice.
- Provide information, advice, guidance and practical support to develop inclusive and effective early year’s environments that support quality relationships between staff, parents and children.
- Work in partnership with relevant agencies to promote the consideration of the needs of children and families in all relevant services and strategies looking at how access to services can be improved for this group of children and their families.
- Developing and encouraging peer to peer support in relation to Early Help and to embed best practice within the County that is shared and disseminated.
- Identify, disseminate and facilitate the sharing of good practice in relation to meeting the needs of children and families in Somerset, seeking to utilise the wealth of experience within Somerset as well as bring national best practice into Somerset.
- Promote the service to settings across the County to ensure they are aware of the services available to support children and families. Working collaboratively with other services who support children and families to make best use of scarce resources.
- To use effective monitoring and tracking systems for this project to ensure the project makes an impact on individual and cohorts of children.
- To contribute to the development of appropriate resources and information about resources which can be shared with Somerset settings to support them working effectively with children and families.
- Work collaboratively to promote and celebrate good practice, demonstrating a commitment to quality in all they do. Where necessary have the confidence to challenge poor practice which does not achieve good outcomes for children and families.
- Develop your expertise and keep up to date with best practice so registered providers can utilise those skills and knowledge in the role, modelling best practice to settings.

Project Description
The project is located in Swansea and works with long term street drinkers. The service provides residential support with the aim of meeting individuals’ needs, which promote independence and lead to a sustainable move-on.
Purpose of Role
Working within our established Swansea Substance Misuse Services at Swansea Shoreline. You will work directly with clients who are alcohol dependent through harm reduction who may also be under the influence of illicit substances. Experience of working with substance use is advantageous however full training is available.
You will provide residential support that enables and empowers Service Users to address housing and/or personal difficulties, build their skills and confidence, and ultimately improve their ability to maintain their future accommodation. The support will not create or increase dependence. It will ‘do with’ rather than ‘do for’, so it’s likely that support will involve accompanying Service Users initially, in order to familiarise them with an activity or appointment. Support will help people improve their control, understanding and involvement in dealing with the issues that affect them, and assist Service Users to achieve their preferred outcomes. In addition, to assist with the housing management needs of the project ensuring the delivery of a safe, secure and effective service.
This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure.

We’re looking for a kind, dedicated, and reliable Female Support Worker to join our friendly team in Long Eaton. This is a rewarding opportunity to support a lovely lady in her own home, helping her to live as independently and happily as possible.

You’ll play an important role in providing day-to-day support with:
- Personal care and daily living tasks
- Cooking, cleaning, shopping, and medication support
- Attending appointments and supporting social activities
You’ll also get to know her loyal dog — a friendly and much-loved companion who’s a big part of her life!
You’ll be working within a small, supportive team who truly care about the people we support.
🕓 Working Hours
The hours for this role iclude shifts between:
7am and 10pm, Monday to Sunday. Plus sleep ins.
No two days are the same — and you’ll always go home knowing you’ve made a difference.

Mencap are seeking Relief Support Workers to join our incredible team in Woodbridge.
As a Relief Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.
From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.
We need you to hold a full UK driving licence, the people we support have their own cars and you need to be comfortable driving people to various destinations, ensuring they can access all the places they wish to go.
What we're looking for:
· A genuine passion for supporting others.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
· Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

Supporting people in their own homes and lone working with 16 people with housework, laundry, shopping, menu planning, preparing meals, supporting to arrange health appointments and going to health appointments at times, prompting to order their medication and reminding them to collect their medication. Everyone enjoys holidays, going to the theatre, cinema, day trips out and going out in the community
From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.
What we're looking for:
