Other Information:
The parish of Biggin Hill (pop. 12,018) is a small town - still referred to by many residents as a 'village' - on the edge of the London Borough of Bromley. It is mainly residential and surrounded by beautiful, open countryside, yet sits within just a few miles of the M25.
The Living is currently suspended to allow for the possibility of future pastoral reorganisation, but the hope is that our new priest will guide the parish towards achieving its full potential and the suspension being lifted.
The ideal candidate will be:
- A prayerful and practical leader, keen to develop the prayer life of the congregation;
- Able to work collaboratively with our enthusiastic ministry team, and have experience enabling others in their discipleship;
- Comfortable leading a wide range of worship styles;
- Creative in extending the use of our church space and facilities;
- Willing to work with a team to establish a Youth Group.
St Mark's Church was dedicated in 1959 and is Grade II Listed. A complete refurbishment of the lighting has recently been completed, enabling a range of lighting arrangements for traditional worship, concerts and other community events. The modern audio-visual system enables Parish Communion services to be live-streamed and recorded, which is very popular.
The Church Hall complex is very well used by a number of local organisations, with a large hall, separate lounge, well-equipped kitchen, meeting room and office.
The adjacent Vicarage is a 4-bedroom family home with a separate study, double garage and good-sized garden providing private and well-screened accommodation.
Sunday Worship takes place at 10.30am, with an All-Age Family Service on the first Sunday and Parish Communion services on other Sundays (USA 50-55). Worship is supported by a choir and band or keyboard player with a mix of hymns and songs. A said Midweek Communion takes place on a Wednesday morning (USA 12). Biggin Hill is renowned for its contribution to WWII when the RAF base within the parish played a key role in defence of Britain. Our priest also acts as Chaplain to St George's RAF Memorial Chapel, taking one service per month in the Chapel as well as supporting and working alongside their ministry team.
You will be supported by an enthusiastic and experienced PCC, a part-time paid Administrator, an LLM-in-training, a Pastoral Visiting Team, and a large number of volunteers who all play a part in regularly organising and planning church activities and outreach (including five who have completed the Hearing and Speaking God's Word course and able to lead worship and/or preach).

The benefices of Walsingham, Houghton and Barsham, and Hempton with Pudding Norton are seeking an inspirational priest equipped with a real sense of mission to parishioners, visitors and pilgrims of all ages in this unique setting.
The two shrines to Our Lady are separate and distinct from the benefices yet have considerable impact on the villages and on parish life in this deeply rural setting.
Both benefices are part of the Diocese of Norwich. As petitioning parishes they receive sacramental and pastoral care from the Bishop of Richborough.
The parishes are prayerfully seeking their new priest to be:
· God-centred and rooted in Anglo-Catholic prayer and spirituality, with a deep regard for the Seven Sacraments and for the Divine Office, who utilises the opportunities for outreach afforded by the Occasional Offices and who is committed to village community
· Equipped with a real sense of mission to parishioners, to visitors and to pilgrims;
· Aware of the character of the rural way of life, and able to embrace the particular challenges presented by deeply rural parishes;
· Possessed of an awareness of the variety of the Benefice’s liturgical heritage, and committed to its further development;
· A fluent Preacher of the Gospel and Teacher of the Faith;
· Keen to work with, and minister to, the Primary School and the younger residents of the Benefice, whilst at the same time valuing older generations in our communities

· Committed to the further development of the ecumenical links throughout the Benefice;
· A discreet listener, an effective Spiritual Director and experienced Confessor;
· Committed to visiting all his parishioners in health and in sickness, whether at home, in care, or in hospital and to the necessary Celebration of the Sacraments in their presence, especially for those in end-of-life care;
· Willing and able to travel where necessary at all times of the day or night
· Interested in, and has an appreciation of, our mediaeval churches, and their maintenance and improvement

Location & coverage: The role will be based working from home, with the allocation of a nearby Hub for collaborative working. This is a national role and there will be an expectation that the successful candidate will be able travel to attend meetings or fieldwork throughout the waterway network of England and Wales. Our team and opportunity
The Trust owns and manages 2000 miles of waterway, and the vast majority of this is open to navigation and used and enjoyed by many thousands of people on boats every day. A small part of the network is not currently open to navigation and these sections are generally classed as unrestored. The financial position of the Trust is such that it is not in a position to restore these sections back to a full navigable standard, although their towpaths remain open to walkers and the canals in general provide a habitat for wildlife.
Most unrestored sections of canal have a restoration society associated with them and these societies aspire to restore their section of canal back to a full navigable standard. These societies generally comprise a good number of volunteers, who between them have much knowledge and experience in a wide variety of roles, from engineering to fundraising and ecology to construction. From time to time they approach the Trust with their restoration plans and in partnership, over the past few decades, a number of sections of canal have been restored back to a full navigable standard.
Such works vary in terms of their scale and scope and some can be quite significant civil engineering projects which require a significant amount of time for the Trust. The challenge of maintaining our already open network means that we do not have the spare resource to provide this support from our existing team and are proposing an alternative way of working. Going forward restoration societies wanting to deliver restoration on Trust property, which is often undertaken using volunteers, will need to cover the cost of our time. The majority of the support required by restoration groups will require an engineer, with their associated costs being recoverable; this is the role that we are now recruiting for.

Located in Buxton, Ripley and Swadlincote, the services offer out-of-hours mental health help, support and signposting in a relaxed and comfortable community environment. The services will be open on Friday evenings, Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons, all year round.

Job Purpose: The Support Worker role is to be a key member of the team delivering the Swadlincote Crisis Support Drop-In service on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, alongside Peer Support Volunteers. Support Workers are responsible for providing on-to-one and group support to attendees in an empathetic, non-judgemental, person-centred manner. Support Workers will also share the role of Shift Leader each week.
Please note, these roles will be based at Swadlincote, Ripley and Buxton, however CSDI Support Workers are employed on a “flexible by location” basis, so the ability to travel to and from other sites is essential for this role.
Working Pattern: Worked over Friday evenings, Saturday evenings, and Sunday afternoons, on a ‘week on-week off’ basis. As Wiltshire SENDIASS Triage and Information Officer, you will provide a high quality first point of contact to parents, children, young people, carers, and professionals who reside in Wiltshire and are contacting the statutory Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Information Advice and Support Service.
The service provides confidential and impartial advice on the rights in the SEND process and other relevant legislation and SEND policy, supporting navigation through the SEND assessment process.
This role is to provide up to date and local information, make an initial triage judgement about the appropriateness and urgency of any requests for service and signpost to other services as appropriate, taking advice from the Project Manager as necessary.
The post holder will also lead on the external information and communication channels, including the shared email accounts, voicemail service, service websites and social media platforms.
There is a requirement for the post holder to undertake a minimum of Level 1 Legal Training (IPSEA), which comprises e-study of up to 30 hours and face-to-face training for one day funded by the service within 3 months of being in post.
The post holder will be expected to maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times and may from time-to-time experience contact with families that could be upsetting and challenging.
Main Responsibilities:
• Act as a helpful, clear, and efficient first and central point of contact for the services by telephone, email, text, social media, service websites and in person. To assess their information and guidance needs and provide up-to-date information and guidance on services which meet those needs, signposting appropriately.
• To make initial triage decisions in relation to whether there is an urgency or relevance for further input and support from SENDIASS Case Workers, gaining advice from the Project Manager when appropriate.
• To respond to information requests by the public (children, young people, and adults), colleagues, professionals, and partners according to the service customer care Minimum Standards of Delivery, in a confidential, impartial and timely way.
• To undertake a programme of feedback and evaluation with children, young people, parents and carers and professionals who have used the service. To contact service users via a range of access channels and systematically record and report on trends and findings for strategic reporting.
