Oak house is a mental health crisis recovery house. We offer support for those in crisis from a range of 3-7 days. We are a five bedroom facility, with 24 hour staffing. Waking night staff shifts are a mix of 9:00pm - 07:00am and 10:30pm - 08:30am.
The people we support are central to everything we do. Each person who uses our services is a unique individual and they all deserve to be treated as such. As such, the responsibilities may vary from day to day.

Assist people using our services to:

Could you spare some time to support wellbeing at Longfield Community Hospice? We are looking for qualified Complementary Therapy Volunteers to provide gentle, client-centred complementary therapy treatments as part of our Living Well Services. In this role, you will offer one-to-one therapies to patients living with a life-limiting illness, as well as to carers, family members and people who have been bereaved. Therapies currently offered include massage (including HEARTS and ‘M’ Technique), aromatherapy massage, reflexology and reiki, with treatments adapted to individual needs and lasting between 10 and 45 minutes. You will work as part of Longfield’s clinical Living Well Services team, following the guidance of the Complementary Therapy team and completing relevant records and documentation.

Recovery Workers act as ‘key workers’ to a caseload of service users, supporting them to decide their goals around treatment and develop plans to achieve these. We are recruiting for an Emotional Mental Health Worker to support young people aged 11-25 living in Crawley and surrounding areas.
Mind The Gap Emotional Health Support offers young people an alternative way of accessing mental health support. The service offers support to young people who are struggling to find or engage with the right services. This support offer is youth-work based non-clinical support. Working primarily from Crawley Youth Advice Centre, you will deliver face-to-face sessions using evidence-based interventions to engage, educate and empower young people around issues affecting their emotional wellbeing.
Key responsibilities:
- Offer seven sessions of support to each young person, including initial needs assessment and weekly sessions
- Lead on facilitation of emotional well-being and psycho-educational groups
- Support young people transitioning from specialist CAMHS/AMHS services
- Work systemically with parents/carers, educators, and health professionals
- Develop links with agencies and make appropriate referrals
- Promote service user participation and voice
- Comply with safeguarding, health & safety, data protection and EDI policies
Qualifications, knowledge, and experience
- Knowledge of issues facing young people, especially those socially excluded
- Experience in safeguarding children and young people
- Ability to support appropriate mental health pathways
- Training in emotional wellbeing interventions or qualification in youth work
- Understanding of short-term support models

The Wales Mobility & Driving Assessment Service are currently recruiting for a qualified, HCPC registered, Occupational Therapist (part-time) or Clinician to be involved with assessment and advice for people wishing to drive and/or access vehicles with various health problems and disabilities, working in conjunction with Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) and an administration team. We are ideally looking for someone who holds a current driving licence with previous experience of working with patients/clients with various neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.
An induction period is provided with training and ongoing supervision and professional development.

Being a Care Assistant, you will be passionate about delivering first class care and show patience, kindness and understanding towards our residents. Assisting residents with immediate needs such as washing, dressing, and maintaining their hygiene is a key part in the role however, the role will also involve getting to know the residents personally and providing them with emotional support.
This role would suit someone who is caring, friendly and empathetic. You will need to be able to relate to people from variety of different backgrounds and make sure our residents never lose their dignity or sense of individuality. You will have the ability to work well as part of a team and have good communication skills.
It is desirable for you to have a S/NVQ level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care (Adults) or be willing to undertake training to achieve an S/NVQ Level 2 qualification.
