Roles Responsibilities
As a Recovery Navigator in the Dependency and Recovery Services, you will be working within a hybrid model as part of a flexible, multi-disciplinary team, working in person and travelling across the probation delivery units which covers the region of: Southwark, Croydon, Lambeth. You will be based in Borough, Croydon, Brixton probation offices. Some work may be delivered virtually, however this is an in-person service.
The service is designed to improve engagement of Person(s) on Probation into treatment services and ‘bridge the gap’ between probation and substance misuse services in the community by offering practical assistance and ongoing support through a range of timebound, enforceable and motivational interventions.
You will carry a diverse caseload of adult male prison leavers and those on community orders within the National Probation Service, supporting to implement their action plan and navigate their recovery journey. You will be responsible for completing comprehensive assessments, creating a collaborative action plan and delivering one to one, group work/virtual sessions, whilst maintaining accurate record keeping throughout.
Your role is to successfully navigate these men on their recovery journey by providing:
- Support and advocacy e.g. including physical help with referral forms, face-to-face negotiations with a wide range of other providers, attending appointments with them or taking steps on their behalf, for example making phone-calls and onward referrals.
- Advice, guidance and information e.g. Information via a variety of forms (including printed documents, one to one session, group session, online session or a combination of any of the above) but must be provided in a way that enables the Person(s) on Probation to act on the information given and should form part of a wider package of support offered.
- Deliver interventions to empower and upskill Person(s) on Probation to enable understanding and management of their Dependency and Recovery needs.
Some degree of flexibility may be required if out of office work is required, but this is a predominantly a Monday - Friday 09:00-17:00 role.
All probation-based roles will require enhanced DBS and HMPPS security vetting. Please note this process can take up to 3-6 weeks. All offers are subject to receiving both HMPPS vetting and DBS clearances.

Working in the HOPE team is an exciting and varied role that combines outreach, community engagement, and harm reduction. About the Role
As a Project Support Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting delivery of projects within the Families First Partnership Programme in Bradford. You will be a part of a new project team specifically set up to deliver the key requirements of Families First; working alongside Family Help Lead Practitioners, Multi-Agency Child Protection Teams and strategic safeguarding partners to ensure seamless delivery of reforms that help families stay together and thrive.
The postholder will demonstrate a self-starting, focused approach to improving the lives of children, young people and families. You will have a passion for supporting on designing services, developing new strategies and a passion for engaging with key stakeholders in order to support the development of an innovative service that meets needs. Above all you will work collaboratively with professionals, whilst maintaining sight of key priorities and deliverables.

You’ll also:
- Actively support the Programme Manager and Senior Responsible Officer in the delivery of agreed programmes / projects, workstreams and focused areas of work relating to the Families First reform.
- Assist with scoping projects and other relevant project management techniques to support the development of deliverable plans, including considering resource requirements, benefits, quality and risks.
- Support the development of project documentation including business cases and bids to deliver effective services against changing demands and external challenge through efficiencies and service improvement.
- Collate and analyse information to draft reports that highlight evidence of progress, transformation / improvement and impact for various audiences and platforms including senior leaders and partners.
- Research, horizon scan and share best practice; ensuring lessons learned are captured and shared.
- Support stakeholder management including liaising with staff and managers within all areas of the Trust and numerous diverse partners throughout the district.
- Co-ordinate the work of individuals, both internally within the Trust and Partners across the system, assigned to Families First projects or related work.
- Solve problems in a measured and creative way, assessing tasks and issues alongside colleagues, and proactively identifying and undertaking activities that are of benefit to the Trust, including contingency planning to ensure confidence in its implementation.

To be successful in this role you will need:
Education
- Qualified to NVQ / Diploma level 4 in Project Management or project management qualification e.g. PRINCE 2. and / or proven experience in end-to-end project, or discreet complex work package, delivery.
Experience
- Understanding of project management frameworks and methodologies.
- Knowledge of children’s services practice and/or transformation within other public sector settings.
- Supporting projects through scoping, planning, process testing, change implementation, implementation, reviewing and benefits realisation – initiation to completion.

About the service:
Oak house is a mental health crisis recovery house. We offer support for those in crisis from a range of 3-7 days. We are a five bedroom facility, with 24 hour staffing. Day staff work in a shift pattern of earlies, days and lates. Waking night staff cover a ten hour period.
The people we support are central to everything we do. Each person who uses our services is a unique individual and they all deserve to be treated as such. As such, the responsibilities may vary from day to day.

Assist people using our services to:
