The Assistant Head of Individual Giving is a key, senior role in the Individual Giving Section, overseeing the development and delivery of multi-channel direct marketing activities that inspire and motivate many thousands of new supporters to join the charity’s donor base each year. The post also leads the development and implementation of new acquisition products from concept to launch and meeting an annual fundraising target of approximately £1M. The role leads a unit of three people including one direct line report.
The successful candidate will have
- Extensive expertise in all aspects of direct marketing, specifically acquisition, including detailed knowledge and experience of how best to maximise both offline and online channels, as well as successfully implementing new and innovative products or offers.
- Experience in successful strategic planning, management and implementation of strategy will be critical as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.

BACKGROUND TO GLMCC:
Green Lane Masjid and Community Centre is a leading UK mosque situated in the heart of Birmingham serving the community since 1979. Operating from its award-winning grade II listed Victorian building, GLMCC fulfils its mission of inspiring, educating and serving through its educational college, outreach work, welfare services, youth work, international humanitarian wing, as well as its fully functional mosque which is attended by thousands every week
1. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Green Lane Masjid & Community Centre (GLMCC) seeks to appoint a Weekend Imam and Qur’an Teacher to take a supporting role in the Centre’s religious and educational activities. The main purpose of the post is to lead designated prayers, support Qur’an teaching and Madrassah provision, and contribute to the spiritual development of the community in accordance with the Qur’an and the Sunnah.
2. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE ROLE
Teaching, Learning and Assessments
• Lead designated prayers as part of the agreed rota, including weekend prayers. • Lead additional prayers as required including but not limited to; taraweeh & funeral. • Play a pivotal role in the Madrassah pure hifdh project as a teacher and leader. • Act as a religious ambassador and role model. • Facilitate Mosque visits as and when required. • Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment. • Support the delivery of Qur’an classes and related activities, as required. • Support the Madrassah programme by assisting with Qur’an assessment, student development, and continuity of learning.

The University of Glasgow School of Law seeks to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Corporate and Financial Law (Research & Teaching Track).
The successful applicant will work closely within a vibrant and substantial community of corporate researchers and be part of the Corporate and Financial Law Research Group. In addition to the well-established interest in capital markets, financial regulation, corporate governance and corporate social responsibility, law and sustainable finance has emerged as a key focus in recent years, while we have also extended our expertise in insurance and insolvency. We have immediate teaching needs in corporate governance, capital markets and financial law and there are also opportunities to adapt and expand our course offers to suit the successful candidate. The diverse and international composition of our commercial law group offers links to policy-making and practice that can help to inform research and teaching.

Job Purpose
The post holder will make a substantial and positive contribution to the strategic direction of the School/College through leading and contributing to research of international standard, high quality teaching, primarily at undergraduate level, securing research funding, and providing academic leadership and management within the School/College. The post holder will be expected to engage actively in relationships with external stakeholders that advance knowledge exchange, public understanding and outreach.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Undertake a leading role in the development and implementation of individual and/or joint research projects of international standard, participating actively in the development of College/School research strategy.

ASSISTANT HOUSE PARENT JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: ASSISTANT HOUSE PARENT - ISS Responsible to: Welfare Manager Main Purpose: The Assistant House Parents are responsible for working closely with the House Parent within their house, and the Welfare Manager to ensure excellent standards of pastoral care for the pupils on the summer school programme. Assistants will be led by their House Parents to ensure that all pupils enjoy a warm, welcoming, supportive atmosphere, and that the house is run smoothly to protect the safety and wellbeing of international pupils within the boarding house. Course Dates: The course in 2026 will run for 4 weeks, and we will be offering contracts of varying lengths, depending on the candidates’ availability and experience and our student numbers. All candidates must attend on-site induction prior to the start date (outlined below). If candidates have holidays, weddings, graduations etc booked, they must mention this at the interview stage. Time off for such events cannot be guaranteed otherwise. The course is run on the Senior School campus (Sedbergh), with three London trips running throughout the course. Roles and Responsibilities: Assistant House Parents will be guided and supported by their House Parent and the Welfare Manager to: • Establish a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the House, demonstrating superior pastoral care and discipline of students, ensuring that their safety and physical and emotional wellbeing is the top priority. • Ensure appropriate standards of behaviour are always upheld in the House, managing pupil conduct and behaviour, to promote harmony within the boarding house. • Ensure active management and supervision of all pupils during mealtimes to provide a pleasant dining experience for all pupils. • Ensure roll calls, registers, fire drills etc. are undertaken as required by legislation. • To be an integral part of the team welcoming pupils and their parents/guardians on arrival and supporting pupils and their parents/guardians on departure. • Ensure that wake up and bedtimes are observed as laid out in the Schedule. • To carry out daily room checks, ensuring that the boarding houses are kept clean and tidy, providing a safe, homely environment within which pupils feel comfortable. • Report any damages to the Operations team as necessary. • Inform pupils about the housekeeping and laundry protocols, ensuring that cleaning and linen changes are completed according to the agreed schedule. • Attending daily meetings with the Welfare Manager. • Referring any student requiring medical attention to the House Parent or Welfare Officer. • Ensuring any sick pupils in house are cared for while they are unable to attend lessons/activities. • Assisting with the extra-curricular programme where necessary. • Ensuring all pupil data is stored or destroyed in line with GDPR policies. • Ensuring the campus is closed down after completion of the course, and returned to its original state, to include all school facilities and equipment. • Assisting at any time, whether on duty or not, with an emergency or where a student is injured or unhappy. • Any other tasks as required to ensure the smooth running of the International Summer School.
