About the Role
As a Recovery Worker, you’ll be responsible for working with and motivating service users to engage in the recovery programmes we offer in Devon.
Our service welcomes people at any stage in their recovery journey, starting with the open end of harm reduction, through to brief interventions, extended interventions and structured treatment, and Recovery Workers offer support throughout.
Day to day duties include:
Working autonomously to manage a caseload of our service users, including delivering a range of psychosocial interventions.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to undertake ongoing assessments, risk assessments, and appropriate referrals within the community
Facilitating group sessions with a range of individuals of varying backgrounds.
Working with partnership agencies to ensure continuity of care and support.
Providing duty cover for individuals accessing our services.
To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:
We’re looking for an individual with a real passion for working in a recovery focused environment. You’ll hold some transferable skills, ideally from working in a similar environment or sector. Full training and support will be offered in all aspects of this role.
You’ll also have:
A knowledge and understanding of substance misuse and recovery
Experience of managing, planning, and prioritising your own workload, delivering work of a high standard
An understanding of safeguarding
An understanding of group working, group dynamics and group facilitation.

The role focuses on providing high-quality support to individuals in mental health crisis. You will assist clients during their stay, helping to reduce immediate distress and develop plans to prevent future crises. This includes working collaboratively with statutory and voluntary mental health services to ensure effective, multi-agency support. Able to work both independently and as part of a team, you will support and induct peer staff and volunteers while working effectively with statutory services such as the NHS. Longview House is a 24hr Registered Mental Health Care Home, working to a recovery model. We provide a range of support services for people with mental ill health/addiction to access in their local community, including outreach support, peer support and supported housing. We have been operating in the area for a number of years and offer a 24hr staffed service to our residents aged 18 - 67.

Oak house is a mental health crisis recovery house. We offer support for those in crisis from a range of 3-7 days. We are a five bedroom facility, with 24 hour staffing. Day staff work in a shift pattern of earlies, days and lates. Waking night staff cover a ten hour period.

The College proposes to elect up to twelve non-stipendiary Research and Junior Research Fellows in Humanities and Social Sciences, if candidates of sufficient merit present themselves, without limitation of subject, from 1 October 2026. Candidates must hold a doctorate. Candidates who have received a doctorate over five years and (other than in exceptional situations) under ten years before that date will be eligible for a Research Fellowship; most candidates, who have received a doctorate less than five years before that date, will be eligible for a Junior Research Fellowship. Candidates will be required to be engaged in research, with a full-time University of Oxford contract of employment for the duration of the Fellowship or have full-time external funding for research with the formal contractual support of a University of Oxford Department or Faculty. These positions are designed to support early career researchers. They are not for those on sabbaticals or already holding Professorships. Wolfson does operate a Visiting Scholars Scheme. Applications will be welcomed from candidates with caring responsibilities or a disability, who choose to work less than full-time. Candidates will also be required to spend the greater part of the academic year in Oxford, and notify the College of any changes to their circumstances, at which point the Fellowship may be reviewed.

No more than ten years should have elapsed since receipt of a doctorate, other than candidates whose postdoctoral academic career has been interrupted by, for example, childbirth, family commitments, illness or compulsory military service. A statement giving reasons why an exception should be considered must be included with the application. Research Fellowships are not suitable for those taking sabbatical leave from an academic post. Applications from candidates with fewer than three years of postdoctoral experience are discouraged since it is very unlikely that they will have acquired sufficient experience and seniority, and it may be more appropriate for these candidates to apply for a Junior Research Fellowship.
All Fellowships carry Common Table rights (currently up to £59.50 a week for own meals in Hall), and other benefits. Purpose / Project Description:
Gaza Sky Geeks has multiple components, i.e., individuals, companies, and community. All these components have their own data based on the work they accomplish, and we need help in working on this data with activities such as data cleaning.
Consultant Objectives:
● Extract and translate program log frames and budgets into structured data requirements
● Work closely with a third-party consultant to support the design and implementation of a scalable, integrated database architecture covering all GSG functionalities
● Contribute to discovery sessions, implementation phases, and onboarding to ensure alignment with GSG’s data needs
● Establish a data warehouse and ETL pipelines to support automated and real-time reporting
● Strengthen GSG’s overall data systems to improve analytics, organizational learning, and reporting
Consultant Activities:
The Consultant will:
● Extract data requirements from GSG logframes, budgets, and reporting frameworks
● Conduct comprehensive requirements-gathering sessions with all relevant GSG team members and program leads
● Design a robust database architecture that covers all GSG programs, components, and functionalities
● Develop and document a data warehouse structure to consolidate program, MEL, and operational data
