The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) is seeking a strategic and analytical Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager to play a pivotal role in supporting the College’s mission to improve child health by ensuring effective financial planning, reporting, and business partnering across the organisation.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will lead on the annual budgeting and forecasting process, produce regular financial performance reports, and develop financial models to support key strategic decisions. You will ensure that the College’s leadership has access to clear, insightful analysis to guide financial and operational planning.
You will foster a culture of effective business partnering, providing expert financial advice and support to budget holders and colleagues across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the annual budgeting process and developing regular reforecasts in alignment with the College’s strategic priorities
- Producing timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and analysis
- Developing financial models to support key strategic and operational decisions
- Providing financial insight and advice to senior leadership and budget holders to support informed decision-making
- Line managing and developing the Finance Analyst, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability and continuous improvement
- Ensuring the integrity of financial information through robust processes, controls, and analytical review
- Partnering with the Financial Controller to support compliance, audit preparation, and financial controls
- Supporting finance system development and the use of tools such as Power BI for enhanced reporting
Essential skills and experience include:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in financial management roles
- Strong analytical skills and ability to provide clear, actionable insights
- Proven experience of leading budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Advanced Excel skills and experience of financial modelling

ACTIVITY LEADER - ISS JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: ACTIVITY LEADER - ISS Responsible to: Activity Manager Main Purpose: The Activity Leaders are responsible for working closely with the Activity Manager to contribute to the smooth delivery of the Sedbergh International Summer School extra-curricular programme. Activity Leaders will lead our co-curricular programme of recreational, afternoon and evening activities to include sports, outdoor adventure and creative arts as well as evening social events and weekly excursions. Activity Leaders also provide support in the boarding house, assisting with residential boarding duties and supporting the House Parent team as required. Course Dates: The course in 2026 will run for 4 weeks, and we will be offering contracts of varying lengths, depending on the candidates’ availability and experience and our student numbers. Farms for City Children offers children and young people a week in the heart of the British countryside staying on one of our farms, where they are immersed in the natural world of food, farming, and country life. During their stay, they participate in the seasonal tasks of the day: sowing, growing and harvesting in our kitchen gardens, caring for livestock and looking after the land, and a variety of tasks designed to build greater connection with the natural world.
We are looking for a Farm School Leader to join our team on our farm in Gloucestershire. Wick Court is a 50-acre working farm raising pigs, poultry, sheep and cattle. It also houses equine and bees and has a number of important heritage orchards growing perry pears and apples for juicing.
This is a hands-on role, responsible for planning and delivering a productive kitchen garden and leading engaging countryside, food and farming sessions for groups of children at Wick Court
The postholder will create and deliver productive and environmentally sensitive growing in the gardens and orchards. They will be passionate about food quality and provenance and work closely with the kitchen team at the farm. While the role will be responsible for growing at Wick Court, and lead practical management of the garden and orchard and work with volunteers, the postholder will also work with the animals and children, and support estate management as part of the wider farming operations team. The postholder will deliver countryside sessions for visiting children as well helping with daily farming tasks.
As comfortable in wellies in the garden as engaging with visiting children and teachers, this role requires a can-do attitude, an enthusiasm for good food, and a genuine passion for supporting children and young people to access the benefits of nature.
The role requires the ability to undertake work outside of 9 to 5 hours, including some weekend and lone working on a rota basis.

About the role:
- Leadership and Team Management
- Provide regular clinical and line management supervision to six practitioners.
- Support staff wellbeing, development, and performance through reflective practice and professional guidance.
- Lead on recruitment, induction, and ongoing training of team members.
- Oversee referral pathways, allocation of cases, and management of team caseloads.
- Monitor service delivery to ensure high-quality, safe and effective clinical practice.
- Lead risk management processes and provide senior oversight of complex or high-risk situations.

We are looking to appoint an experienced Research Grants Manager to provide comprehensive support in the operational management of research applications, from proposal development to approval and project submission, through to implementation, delivery and evaluation.
As the Research Grants Manager, you will work in close partnership with internal colleagues ensuring integrated support across the life cycle of a research project, with a particular focus on the pre-award application stage. This is a high-profile role that will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the implementation of our strategic goals - to deliver world class science, build a legacy to be proud of, and secure our future success.
We are looking for someone with excellent organisational, communication and negotiation skills, who is committed, and results driven. You will proactively engage with our multidisciplinary research teams to support the development of competitive research applications for a wide variety of external funding sources, adding value through provision of high-quality support and specialist advice.

Key Responsibilities
These will include, but are not limited to:
- *Being the point of contact for Franklin scientists wishing to apply for external research funding, providing professional advice with respect to the research application process (including costing, funder specific terms & conditions, and aspects of research contracts & due diligence).
- *Working closely with our scientists to support them with the preparation and submission of competitive research applications, contributing to proposal content as appropriate and providing guidance to ensure compliance with funder requirements and policies.
- *Communicating and liaising with Operational team members during the research application process as required. For example, working with finance team colleagues on costings for the proposal, providing specialist expertise on funder specific eligibility criteria.
- *Ensuring research applications adhere to our institutional policies and, where necessary, coordinating internal review processes prior to submission.
- *Helping to bring shape and clarity to complex, multi-partner applications being led by the Franklin, providing project management support to help the partners work effectively towards funder requirements and deadlines.

The Role:
As Transport Operations Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the daily administration and planning of the school’s transport services.
- Providing minibus driving cover when required, including morning and evening routes.
