The service provides tenancy management support alongside emotional, social, and practical support to enable people to live in their own homes. The Diocese of Manchester has established the Places Project, which is currently working with 33 schools and 33 churches in developing discipleship pathways for children and young people in Bolton. We are looking to appoint a Children’s Worker to work with the team on a range of innovative new initiatives for children and their families, as well as helping existing ministries to grow and flourish.
The Children’s Worker will work with churches and primary schools to create worship and discipleship opportunities for children. As part of their role, the Children’s Worker will work as part of the wider Places Project team, with specific involvement in a Year 6 transition programme in primary schools.
The Children’s Worker will have many opportunities for training and development, as well as the creative freedom to launch new children’s initiatives. They will work within a highly motivated and supportive team, who are committed to prayer and to raising a generation of Jesus-followers.
The post holder should have some experience of children’s ministry and working or volunteering in a church and/or school context. To succeed, they need to be enthusiastic, relational, self-motivated and able to lead children in a variety of contexts.
There is an Occupational Requirement for the post-holder to be a practising Christian, in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.

This is an opportunity for a Bible-loving and well-organised Christian man or woman to work prayerfully with a range of leaders to support evangelism and discipleship amongst children, in partnership with parents. At the same time, we are also seeking to appoint a Families / Adults Worker to participate in ministry amongst ‘city’ adults (this covers parents and other adults who are not part of HUB / iHUB / Focus ministries). This is an opportunity for a Bible-loving and well-organised Christian man or woman to work prayerfully with a range of leaders to support evangelism and discipleship amongst adults. We mainly comprise four groups of people: undergraduates, 20-30s, internationals, and ‘city’ members (adults who are not part of the other groups, plus under- 18s). As a Relief Support Worker you will carry out all the same duties while on shift as our Support Workers. As you do not have contracted hours it gives you the flexibility to only pick up shifts when it suits you.
**Please note: Relief work is on an as and when basis to cover for sickness absence, study leave and other staff contingencies. We cannot guarantee you regular or continued use as the need for relief staffing changes from time to time.

We are recruiting for a Family Support Practitioner at HMP Millsike.
Here at Forward Trust, we deliver a complex range of drug and alcohol services in the unique prison environment. Our support includes providing advice, health and wellbeing, motivational work, clinical services, and a wider range of group work and treatment programmes.
The Forward Trust services which are delivered within prison settings are commissioned by NHS England and are delivered in partnership with primary healthcare providers and HMPPS. Integration and partnership are integral to the work we do.

Roles Responsibilities
Part of the Family Support and Specialist Programmes department, the Family Support Practitioner role will work in both their allocated prison and local community, providing specialist support to clients and family members through the delivery of effective 1:1 and group interventions. The role is also required to work closely with other Forward staff and external partners to ensure a holistic package of care and support is provided.
Recognising the importance of relationships in the lives of the people we support is crucial to providing the best possible treatment and services. This role will focus specifically on supporting clients to recognise healthy and unhealthy relationships, build new relationships and understand the role relationships play in their addiction, offending, mental health and other areas of need.
The Family Support Practitioner will also directly support family members and affected others, helping them to improve their health and wellbeing and help them to support clients to make positive changes. This role may be expected to work directly with children and young people, to promote whole family recovery and rehabilitation.
All prison based roles will require enhanced DBS and HMPPS security vetting. Please note this process can take up to 3-6 months. All offers are subject to receiving both HMPPS vetting and DBS clearances.
