Two gentlemen and three ladies who Dimensions support at their home in Frimley would like some new Support Workers to join the team who enable them to live an independent life.
The people we support who are aged in their 50’s-60’s, and have learning disabilities, are an outgoing group. They would be happy meet Support Workers who would like to get involved in the things they enjoy, such as:
- Helping them to and from day service
- Going to the pub for lunch every Friday
- Shopping trips for clothes and things to decorate their rooms
- Refereeing darts matches (at home)
- Helping out with puzzles and quizzes
- Drawing
- Taking care of the house cat
The people we support want you to know that not all of them use works to communicate but they have other ways of letting you know what they want. If you have not had to communicate in this way before, don’t worry. As Dimensions provide all Support Workers with full training.
The role will be a mixture of early (7.30-15.00) and late (14.30-22.00) shifts and Support Workers will need to do 1 sleep-in shift a week. Dimensions are pleased to offer a pay rate of £12.92 per hour for this role (sleep in shifts are paid at an allowance of £50 per sleep in).
As the people we support have access to a vehicle it would be desirable if Support Workers hold a full UK/EU driving license.

We are looking for a Learning Support Worker, to work 30 to 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday and the occasional weekend, we normally plan the rotas one month in advance, but additional opportunities also come up due to unexpected staff absences.
So what would you be doing?
This is a varied role in which you will support people to attend our learning centre in Kennington, Oxfordshire as well as provide one-to-one support out in the community. Day-to-day activities include supported employment, arts and crafts, snooker, baking, drama, music, dance, and horticulture; the list is endless!
One day you may find yourself supporting a small group to visit the Abingdon Market, play a few rounds of mini golf or go for a swim. The next, you could be taking William* to his work experience at a local farm or on a visit to a museum.
Perhaps you'll spend the afternoon in our learning centre where there is a computer suite, fully accessible kitchen, sensory/ games room and large courtyard which everyone likes to relax in on a sunny day. We hold a monthly disco which is an opportunity for everyone to let there hair down and have some fun! Job Purpose
The post holder is responsible for supporting students during education/vocational learning sessions and work placements and for providing on course assistance/support to tutors during sessions.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Support students during learning sessions/activities and work together with tutors in the delivery of learning opportunities.
- Undertake break and lunchtime supervision as
