About the role
As a Support Worker, you will work directly with people in their homes and in the community. You will be expected to support people with a variety of needs, enabling them to live the lives they want.
Duties will include:
- Building great relationships with people we support and the people important to their lives
- Promoting choice and participation when supporting people with daily tasks
- Co-creating opportunities for people to try new things and offering information to support people to make their own choices
- Offering personalised support by working with people’s strength to build their confidence and overcome obstacles with the aim of achieving their goals

We have an exciting opportunity for a Female Support Worker to join our dedicated team in Brecon. In this role, you will support people to build relationships, try new things, and feel part of their community – so that they can live good lives. This role will entail mainly working waking night shifts, although occasional day shifts might be required too. We also pay enhanced rates of pay for waking night shifts.

Where will I be working?
Our services in Thornton provide a 24 hour facilities in providing care for adults with Learning Disabilities and additional health issues.
We are a group of 5 people with a learning disability who live together and have done so for a number of years.
We enjoy spending time together but also have individual interests, to which we need support to be able to take part in.
We sometimes need 1-1 support to enable us to attend local social activities such as visiting the library, visiting parks, going out for meals or to go shopping. This is very much a hands-on job where no two days are the same.
Shift Patterns may look like this:
This is a 24 hour service, therefore flexibility is essential. You will be working a range of shifts from 7:00/8:00 am to 2:30/3:30 pm or 12:00 pm to 7:30 pm and some weekends.

We are looking for a passionate and motivated person to join our fantastic team as a Support Worker at our 6-bedded Supported Living service in Selly Park, Birmingham.
This is a permanent role, with contracts available for part and full time hours per week. As a Support Worker, you will receive £12.50 per hour/ £24,375 per annum FTE. A full manual UK license is desirable as we have automatic & manual company vehicles used to drive and take individuals to appointments, activities outside of the home and trips.
We are passionate about supporting individuals with complex needs, including mobility impairment, learning disabilities and sensory losses. You will support the people with a range of activities and wellbeing events to make sure they have an active lifestyle.
Knowledge of or qualification in British Sign Language is desirable.
This role in Selly Park might include supporting people with:
- Everyday tasks like cooking and cleaning.
- Personal care and hygiene.
- Finances.
- Medication and wellbeing.
- Working.
- Going into the community for shopping or other trips.
- Their social life and nightlife.
