Gracemount Community Church [GCC] exists to take the gospel of Jesus to the people of Gracemount.
Gracemount is a housing scheme [council estate] with a population of around 3000 people. Although we're a tight-knit, friendly and protective community, our scheme falls into the 'Most Deprived' category of the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD), 2012. The statistics on income, employment, health, education, housing, and crime, say Gracemount is 'statistically significantly worse than the Scottish average.' However, no matter what the statistics say, for us Gracemount is the place we love, and the place we call home. We know for sure that our lives have added to the brokenness of our community. But we also know what difference Jesus can make to people's lives. And so, we are desperate to tell others about him in Gracemount.
As a nine-year-old church plant we have a vision to be a church that's trusted and established in our scheme, having continued to see conversion growth that reflects the diversity of the scheme, and to be involved in planting a church in another housing scheme in the south of Edinburgh.
However, we also have a desire to see churches revitalised and planted in other housing schemes and council estates across the UK. So, in pursuit of that desire, we are seeking to appoint an assistant pastor with a heart for areas of deprivation. The end goal of coming to be an assistant-pastor at GCC is to be sent out to plant or revitalise somewhere else.
This would be a training position working under the supervision of Andy Prime and the elders of GCC, and would offer experience in pastoring, preaching, leadership, and church planting. As a church planted from and partnered with 20schemes the applicant would also benefit from their training and expertise in housing scheme ministry.
The applicant will be involved in the full range of our church ministries, providing opportunities to test and develop character and gifting, as well as take responsibility for key areas of the church dependent on their personality, gifting, and training.
The role is full-time, with a flexible start-date, and the application process will be run in conjunction with a 20schemes assessment. All those who work with 20schemes are required to meet a fundraising goal before beginning their role, which GCC would help with. This allows 20schemes to provide you with a salary and benefits as well as ministry costs while you are serving.
Required Skills
The applicant must meet the qualifications of character, knowledge and gifting set out for leaders in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1; be wholeheartedly in agreement with the church's statement of faith, church covenant, and constitution; have a particular heart and passion for ministry in areas of deprivation; and be wholeheartedly in agreement with the FIEC's position papers on church unity, women's ministry and same-sex marriage. As a church without a building entrepreneurship, initiative, and hospitality are essential qualities. The applicant ideally, but not necessarily, will have completed some form of ministry internship or theological training.

Rickstones is an FIEC church and part of Mission Essex. We are a group of people of different ages and backgrounds who want to make Jesus known.
This post is suited to someone with ministry experience as well as someone in their early years of ministry as it provides an opportunity to work with the current Pastor until his retirement in summer 2027 and to receive significant support from the Mission Essex network.
The role will include regular preaching and leading as well as coordinating evangelism and discipleship programmes.
Required Skills
We are looking for a man who will be a faithful shepherd and teacher. He should:
Satisfy the biblical requirements for an Elder.
- Be able to declare wholeheartedly his acceptance of the FIEC doctrinal basis and ethos statements.

- Handle God's word faithfully as he preaches the truth, with application that is relevant
- Have a pastoral heart, showing care and understanding to all our Church family

- Be able to work effectively as part of an Eldership Team in directing the Church under God
- Ideally, have had both pastoral experience and secular employment

About this role An estimated 12,000 men are raped every year and 76,000 sexually abused or assaulted. Yet just 4% of men will tell someone. Of those who do, it takes on average 26 years to do so. SurvivorsUK provides specialist support to men and boys, trans* people, and non-binary people who have been raped, sexually assaulted or abused. Our aim is to help any man, boy, trans person, or gender non-conforming person, to have the confidence to tell someone what’s happened to them, and to know that it’s OK to seek help. When they do, we want to ensure they have access to the right support so they can deal with the impact of their experiences of criminal harm. Sexual violence in prisons has long been ignored, leaving men without adequate support. Over the past year we have been part of a committee with HM Prison Service, Metropolitan Police and NHS England to create a Service on responding to serious sexual assaults within prisons in London. We want raise awareness amongst prison staff of the appropriate responses to sexual violence and gather information about the needs of male survivors in prison to inform future service provision. We provide emotional support, information and signposting to survivors and anyone worried about someone they know, through a national website and webchat service (open until 8pm most evenings). Last year, 2,600 people contacted us via our webchat services and social media. In London, we are the only organisation providing specialist services for men and boys, including individual counselling and therapeutic groupwork, available until 9pm six days a week. Across London, we provide the capital’s only Independent Sexual Advisor (ISVA) Service that helps men and boys through the criminal justice system. Purpose of the role • Partnership building and Improve understanding of sexual violence and male survivors amongst London prisons staff. • Support prisons in understanding of the prevalence and need of male survivors in London prisons • Gather evidence for further services to be modeled. • Spend two/three days a week providing support to prisoners in HMP Feltham Young Offenders Institution. • Provide counselling to prisoners, therapy and practical support interventions to men, boys, non-binary and trans people who have been raped, sexually abused or assaulted with high levels of need and who are most vulnerable Responsibilities Support and Advocacy 1. Provide therapeutic empathetic support to clients, signpost prisoners to our other services including ISVA, counselling, groupwork and helpline if they are leaving prison and need support. Or our ISVA support and written support can be accessed in prison. 2. Undertake and regularly review risk and needs assessment to ensure a survivor’s safety and wellbeing; 3. Develop a support plan, in conjunction with the survivor, to address their individual needs before signposting 4. Ensure that the safety of survivors and children is paramount by working within local safeguarding policies, procedures and protocols at all times. Case Management and Monitoring 11. Maintain accurate and confidential records of all work undertaken in keeping with the standards of the role and organisational policies and procedures; 12. Attend and make effective use of line management and clinical supervision; 13. Complete monitoring and evaluation information for all clients in line with funding expectations and organisational policies and procedures; 14. Pastoral Assistant
Little Mill Baptist Church
Little Mill Baptist Church has maintained a gospel witness in a small rural village in Monmouthshire for over 100 years. Over the past 15 years the work has developed and grown and now has an active membership of just under 20, but Sunday attendance of around 40. People have joined the church from the immediate community plus others who travel in from the surrounding area. It is made up of a wide variety of ages, backgrounds and cultures. Some members have been in the church for many years, while others have joined more recently, mainly from other churches. We have seen an increase in the number of younger adults and families as well as older people joining the fellowship.
For the past 10 years the church has enjoyed the leadership of two co-pastors. One has now retired and so the church is looking to appoint a part time assistant to complement the pastoral team.
Required Skills
We are looking for an enthusiastic man, keen to reach the lost and to increase our engagement with the community where the Lord has placed us. This is an exciting opportunity to help strengthen and grow our church family, encouraging and equipping believers in their faith, while reaching out to the surrounding communities with the gospel of Jesus.
We are looking for somebody with a godly character who reflects the scriptural pattern for eldership, and who senses a call to service and ministry.
We will seek to build on the distinctive strengths within the pastoral team, but responsibilities may include
• A share of the preaching
• Small group ministries
• Pastoral care
• Community outreach opportunities and initiatives and helping the church to strengthen its evangelism
• Ministry specifically focussed on children and young families and schools
Suitability:
This opportunity would be suitable for a man with a mature faith who has completed some form of theological training, demonstrated gifting in preaching and is looking for a first or second appointment. Alternatively the post would be open a man coming to the latter stages of his ministry who was looking to work with reduced hours and responsibility. The successful candidate would demonstrate a pastor's heart, be committed to prayer and the teaching of God's word in a variety of formats and settings, and willing to work with others in the Pastoral team to lead and shepherd the church.
Requirements:
• You will have been recognised by your current church as someone with the potential to meet the qualifications of an overseer as set out for leaders in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
• You will have shown evidence of the pastoral heart and aptitude of an under shepherd expressed in 1 Peter 5:1-4.
• You will be continuing to grow in your own personal daily walk and prayerful relationship with the Lord, which will be seen in your character.
• You will have an awareness of your own strengths and weaknesses, can work well with others as part of an eldership team, and be willing to be accountable to others.
• You have a heart to see the Church of Jesus Christ built up and increase for his glory.
