The Role

As a Sessional Worker, you will support individuals accessing the residential rehabilitation programme to achieve outcomes that help create long-term recovery. Using the Therapeutic Community “community as method” model you will empower individuals, families and communities to be confident about recovery.
You will support the day to day running of the therapeutic community, ensuring residents’ needs are met and the best possible care is provided in an environment that promotes a culture of recovery. Whilst also being confident to deliver therapeutic groups, activities, and specialist interventions in accordance with the TC manual and the needs of the service.
Shifts available to Sessional Workers include, days, evenings, weekends and night shift.
About You

- An understanding of the complex issues presented by individuals within drug and alcohol recovery.
- An understanding of working with individuals in the substance use sector or related field.
- The ability to be innovative and be flexible in order to meet the needs of the service.
- Be able to work effectively with multi-agencies, whilst maintaining the excellent reputation of the service.
- Knowledge of adult protection is essential as you will be working with vulnerable adults in a residential setting.

As a Clinical Academic in Psychological Medicine, the focus of the role will be the development and delivery of high-quality teaching including contribution to the MBChB curriculum and our postgraduate CPD programme. Our aim is that all Leeds graduates are equipped with the knowledge and skills to integrate mental health care into general medical practice and advocate for patient wellbeing whatever speciality they enter.
You will be a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent and be clinically active in Psychiatry. You will spend a maximum of five programmed activity sessions per week on academic work and a minimum of three programmed activity sessions per week on clinical work. Being clinically active you will contribute to the delivery of up to date, excellent educational programmes responsive to the needs of the current and future NHS workforce. You will have the opportunity to benefit from the research culture and activities within the school to help you deliver research-informed teaching. Administration duties will also be expected.
The clinical component of the post can be negotiated with a relevant clinical provider once the post has been offered. Once this occurs, in accordance with Clinical appointment process, Royal College approval and a second stage interview with an Advisory Appointments Committee will be required. This will be a joint clinical academic appointment, with the post-holder holding a contract of employment with the University and an honorary contract with the relevant NHS Trust / other clinical provider.
In line with the Follett Report recommendations, the post-holder will be expected to participate in joint job planning and appraisal.

Our sessional Support Workers provide flexible cover to support our customers and residents at our services across Hansel with all aspects of daily living, including personal care, and social, leisure and recreational activities, as well as enabling them to develop meaningful relationships and establish links in the local community.
We are now recruiting for a Sessional Support Worker to join the sessional list in our North Ayrshire Supported Living Service.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Support Worker looking to take on a new challenge, those who have recently left college with a Social Care related qualification or those who perhaps have no practical or academic experience but can evidence that their values match those of the organisation and that they are motivated to work flexibly, supporting our customers in their lives. Experience in delivering formal social care supports or personal caring experience is desirable but not essential.
Essential criteria for the post include:

When you join our NASL team you will also;
- Receive full induction training, shadowing experienced colleagues and access to additional training you may need to enable you to confidently support individuals.
- Have an opportunity to gain a relevant SVQ qualification in Health and Social Care.
- Access to 24-hour on call management support when you need it.
- Work various shift patterns with at least one weekend off in every four.
- Receive pay for your travel time and travel expenses if travelling between supports
These posts are considered to be Regulated Work with Adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly, the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update if already a Scheme member prior to any formal offer of employment being made.

Red Rose House is our eight-guest room respite service offering short breaks for our visitors within the North Ayrshire area. The atmosphere at Red Rose House is vibrant, friendly and welcoming. Our visitors usually enjoy outings such as adapted go-karting, cycling, cinema, nature walks as well as more relaxing activities such as game nights.
We are currently looking for Sessional Support Workers to join our team.
The successful applicant will join our dedicated and friendly team, who support the health care needs of our customers as well as supporting them to enjoy their break in a way which reflects their individual choices, interests, wishes and aspirations. We ensure our visitors are given an opportunity to achieve all they can and make full use of resources within the community while staying at Red Rose House.
Flexibility to work a rota that includes days, evenings, nights, and weekends is essential for this post. Shift patterns are day shift - 8am to 9pm and night shift - 9pm to 8am.

Shawburn is a residential service based in Prestwick, Ayrshire and is home to up to nine residents who are supported in many different ways to lead the life they choose and our team are dedicated to ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to realise their full potential and achieve their ambitions.
Many of the people living in Shawburn have active social lives and are supported to access community resources such as college, voluntary work, local shops, restaurants, pubs, Hansel services, theatre and the cinema.
We are currently looking for Sessional Support Workers to join our team.
A current driving license is preferred but not essential for this post. Flexibility to work a rota, which includes 12-hour shifts, evenings, nights, sleepovers, and weekends, is required.

The role
This is an opportunity to gain a wide range of experience within the homeless sector, ranging from support work in hostels, supported housing, community support or day services, to assisting in the practical running of services, including cleaning and catering. Job title: Part-Time Carer/Coordinator for Children and Young People
Role summary: Are you looking for a rewarding role working with disabled children and their families? Would you enjoy working within a small, friendly and dedicated team? Do you have experience of working with children with complex needs? A medical, nursing, childcare background desirable. If so this unique and varied role might be for you!
Flexicare is an Oxfordshire based charity providing a home sitting service for families with severely disabled children. A sit typically involves a 2 – 4 hour period supporting a disabled child usually with their home setting or in the community.
Duties include:
· Arranging and undertaking sits in family’s homes or community setting.
· Assessing prospective new families.
· Recruitment of new volunteers.
· Assisting with the running of the charity and fundraising events.
· Ensuring all statutory and non-statutory requirement and good practice guidelines relating to the care, safeguarding and protection of children are adhered to.
· Liaising with other relevant voluntary and statutory agencies.
· Working flexibly (including evenings and weekends).
· Clean Driving licence/car access are essential.
Location: From home, and in families’ home setting or in the community
Pay: £16.33 per hour
