About Highway Vineyard Church (HVC) HVC is a growing multicultural church in the Borough of Newham in East London, with the vision to be a multi-site church and our aim is to pastor the city. Organisational context and Current Priorities HVC currently runs a variety of compassion projects at both our sites, including a food bank and pantry at our Store House, a baby clothes bank called Growbaby and we are also working with a local hotel which houses new asylum seekers, providing families space to cook in a large church’ kitchen. Our Stratford site has a large purpose-built building on the main road into Stratford within 20 minutes’ walk of the Olympic Park and our Manor Park site has a smaller building which is situated in a diverse community. Apprentice in Children & Youth Ministry (multiple positions) starting September 2026

Whether you’re 18 and just starting out, in your 20’s and exploring a new direction or further along in life and sensing God stirring something new in you, age is not necessarily considered to be a barrier.
We’re offering seven Apprentice-style positions as part of our Children & Youth Ministry Apprenticeship Programme. This is a three-year, paid opportunity to work, learn and grow ministry.
You’ll be:
– Employed by the Diocese of Southwark
– Supported by and based in a local parish, working with children, young people and families
– Paid the London living wage for 28 hours per week
What does the programme involve?
– 21 hours of practical ministry experience each week in a parish setting
– 7 hours of dedicated study time, mainly online, working towards a Certificate of Higher Education in Theology, Mission and Ministry through Ridley Hall, Cambridge
– Ongoing support from your local parish, the Diocese, and academic tutors at Ridley Hall
There is an occupational requirement that the job holder is a Christian under the Part 1 Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010. Using the Therapeutic Community “community as method” model you will empower individuals, families and communities to be confident about recovery.
You will support the day to day running of the therapeutic community, ensuring residents’ needs are met and the best possible care is provided in an environment that promotes a culture of recovery. Whilst also being confident to deliver therapeutic groups, activities, and specialist interventions in accordance with the TC manual and the needs of the service.

As a Clinical Academic in Psychological Medicine, the focus of the role will be the development and delivery of high-quality teaching including contribution to the MBChB curriculum and our postgraduate CPD programme. Our aim is that all Leeds graduates are equipped with the knowledge and skills to integrate mental health care into general medical practice and advocate for patient wellbeing whatever speciality they enter.
You will be a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent and be clinically active in Psychiatry. You will spend a maximum of five programmed activity sessions per week on academic work and a minimum of three programmed activity sessions per week on clinical work. Being clinically active you will contribute to the delivery of up to date, excellent educational programmes responsive to the needs of the current and future NHS workforce. You will have the opportunity to benefit from the research culture and activities within the school to help you deliver research-informed teaching. Administration duties will also be expected.
The clinical component of the post can be negotiated with a relevant clinical provider once the post has been offered. Once this occurs, in accordance with Clinical appointment process, Royal College approval and a second stage interview with an Advisory Appointments Committee will be required. This will be a joint clinical academic appointment, with the post-holder holding a contract of employment with the University and an honorary contract with the relevant NHS Trust / other clinical provider.
In line with the Follett Report recommendations, the post-holder will be expected to participate in joint job planning and appraisal.
