- Service Delivery
- To follow support plans and risk assessments to ensure the safe and effective delivery of the service, by providing household duties, including meal preparation and shopping and prompt Health & wellbeing of the service user.

- To support the service user to access primary care and support with appointments.
- Support the service user to be less lonely/isolated by supporting to attend community activities and groups and taking them on outings and trips.
- To be proactive as ambassadors of Age UK Rotherham offering information in relation to and providing support to access other Age UK services

Ronald requires a PA who is calm and confident who can support him with any anxiety that can occur when things don't always go to plan. A PA who can support Ronald to remain well, fit and exercise and is committed to attending training and following strategies to support Ronald with anxiety.

2 x Personal Assistants for R
R is a bright, funny and energetic individual who is looking for a personal assistant to help him live life to the fullest. He’s a determined entrepreneur in the making and excited to find someone who matches his energy and enthusiasm. R is a manual wheelchair user with cerebral palsy and uses a communication aid.
Together, you could be attending R’s activities in the car and helping him to participate with his friends. On other days, you could also be going out for food together as well as helping R with his physio exercises. R loves staying active by doing frame running, swimming, going to the gym and doing exercises at home, and you will be required to support him with these activities which is why it’s essential that you have a lot of energy yourself.
The ideal match would be someone with experience but who is still willing to learn from R himself, as he’s a unique individual with his own ways of communicating. Someone who shares his interest in music and sports and is adventurous would also be desirable.
This role takes place in Robroyston, so being nearby or having access to transport would be helpful. You will be required to take public transport with R to take him to his activities, however someone with clean license and a car is desirable. Some manual handling and personal care are involved depending on R’s needs. There will be 2 positions available for approximately 14 and 15 hours per week with an hourly rate of £13.60. Please note: this job position will be contracted on a Zero-Hours basis.

A typical week for David might include supporting him with personal tasks, helping to look after his Guinea Pigs, maintaining his house, days out at a wonderful creative arts organisation in central Edinburgh, a dance session at DanceBase in the Grassmarket, chilling at his apartment listening to music, socialising with friends and family, eating out and maybe attending a concert.

Personal Assistant for Mr Ahmed
Mr Ahmed is a warm, friendly and kind-natured person who is looking for a PA to help support his daily activities. Every day is unique, but activities might include going for walks in the nearby park, attending sessions at a local day centre, or simply spending quality time at home. Other responsibilities include helping Mr Ahmed with his personal care, such as toileting, clothing and eating, and overall being a positive presence in his life.
The right person to work with Mr Ahmed would be someone friendly, active, good at timekeeping and who uses a hands-on approach. Although not essential, it would also be ideal to find someone who has a car and speaks Urdu. If you have previous experience of working with people who have Alzheimer’s and Dementia, and therefore have the kindness and understanding required, this could be the job for you!
Work takes place in the Southside of Glasgow. You would be expected to work 16 hours a week, split over 4 days per week (Monday – Thursday) for 4 hours each day. Ideal shift times would be 10.00AM – 2.00PM, but this is negotiable for the right candidate. The hourly rate for this role is £13.60.

Amanda attends a day centre during the week Monday – Friday. Out with this time she receives support from Enable, this is inclusive of an overnight support shift. On Monday – Fridays, Enable support Amanda to and from her day service.

Liza enjoys getting out and about for a coffee and a walk round her local town. She also likes having day trip away. Liza is a regular at the local gym. Indoors Liza loves music and has a very varied musical taste. Soaps and quiz shows are her viewing musts on the TV. Liza loves being supported to try out new recipes when she cooks. Liza receives support from 9am to 8pm every day.
Iona is a sports mad lady in her mid 40's. She is an enthusiastic viewer of most sports when they are on TV. Especially football and snooker. Iona also enjoys a competitive game of pool. She is a very busy lady with a lot of different activities in any given week. In her down time she loves to relax with her i-pad. With a keen interest in photography she loves to show people her latest pictures or any stories that catch her eye. Colouring in and reading her papers are also ways Iona likes to relax.
Sadly its not always possible for Liza and Iona to enjoy what many people would consider these "simple pleasures " without proper dedicated support.

Daniel is a young man who likes to be on the go all the time, he has loads of energy with a little mischief added to the mix. He has a great sense of humour and loves the thrills, he is most happy when having fun at the park or the fairground. Daniel loves sensory activities and these really settle him and allows him to channel his energy in a positive way. Routine and structure is very important to Daniel, he needs things to be predicable to ensure he feels safe, this even includes the clothes that he wears. Kieran loves music and has an eclectic taste from Oasis and Fleetwood Mac, to Eminem and Tupac. He is a big Celtic fan; however he won’t mind if you support another team as he’ll enjoy the friendly banter! His family is very important to him and will continue to be close to him.
Up until his accident Kieran was like any teenage boy; he loved going out with friends, meeting girls, having a good laugh and living life to the fullest. As a trainee mechanic he was passionate about cars and was about to embark on his first car restoration project. He enjoyed live music gigs and hopes to get back to these some day. He also enjoyed fishing trips with friends, but rarely got a catch!
Kieran has a Traumatic Brain Injury and has specific support needs, so your role as Personal Assistant will include assisting Kieran with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling and meeting his health needs whilst expanding his social networks and connections.
A typical day could be supporting Kieran with personal tasks within his home, maintaining his house, supporting with his daily physio, helping him to stay connected to his family and assisting him to have new experiences and connections within his community.
