What will I be doing?

We are currently recruiting for a full time Assistant Shop Manager in our Ellesmere Port shop who will support the Manager in the day-to-day operation and to lead a team of volunteers. You will work 37.5 hours per week, on a variable rota over 7 days, including weekends and bank/public holidays.
Relevant experience working within either a fashion environment or the charity sector is essential. Supervisory experience, working with volunteers or selling furniture would be advantageous. You will assist the Manager in achieving sales within the shop using best charity retail practice, creative flair, and an ability to lead by example.

Job Description – Service Manager – Mediation and Child Contact Services Overall purpose of role Kapella’s core focus is to build better relationships and improve the wellbeing of families and individuals. Our Mediation and Child Contact Services aims to help guide families to conflict resolution, support separated parents and provide safe, child focused contact. As the Service Manager, you’ll be instrumental in developing and shaping this service, alongside establishing and overseeing new child contact centre services. This role combines service leadership with operational management, focusing on quality assurance, safeguarding and continuous improvement, and achieving sustainable growth. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in delivering a major strategic initiative for Trinity Laban, with the first set of pilot programmes scheduled to launch in September 2027.
Reporting to the Head of Student Recruitment and International Relations, the main remit of the post is to ensure successful planning and development of the JEI project. This will include supporting curriculum development and programme organisation, managing operational planning and compliance across quality assurance, finance, legal and People & OD areas, and providing specialist support to colleagues at both Trinity Laban and BDA. The post holder will bring strong project management expertise, a high level of cultural awareness and the ability to proactively problem-solve to ensure effective and timely delivery.
You will work closely with colleagues in Corporate Affairs, Registry, Artistic Management, Finance, People & OD and other services across Trinity Laban. You will also build excellent working relationships and collaborate extensively with colleagues at BDA and other external stakeholders to develop a mutually beneficial partnership and ensure successful delivery of the JEI project. Responsibilities will include delivering day-to-day project administration, coordinating and supporting project working groups, producing project documentation, and identifying and mitigating project risks. You will contribute to programme development and support the Deputy Director and the Associate Director (Dance) with validation and governance processes, and act as a secretary to relevant committees and advisory groups.
Educated to degree level, you will be experienced in carrying out international projects or programme management/ administration role in higher education, along with strong understanding of UK-China partnership development within higher education. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to represent the Conservatoire confidently to a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders and government or embassy officials. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Student Recruitment and International Relations team to lead on the coordination and development of the newly approved Joint Education Institute (JEI) with Beijing Dance Academy (BDA) in China. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in delivering a major strategic initiative for Trinity Laban, with the first set of pilot programmes scheduled to launch in September 2027.
Reporting to the Head of Student Recruitment and International Relations, the main remit of the post is to ensure successful planning and development of the JEI project. This will include supporting curriculum development and programme organisation, managing operational planning and compliance across quality assurance, finance, legal and People & OD areas, and providing specialist support to colleagues at both Trinity Laban and BDA. The postholder will bring strong project management expertise, a high level of cultural awareness and the ability to proactively problem-solve to ensure effective and timely delivery.
You will work closely with colleagues in Corporate Affairs, Registry, Artistic Management, Finance, People & OD and other services across Trinity Laban. You will also build excellent working relationships and collaborate extensively with colleagues at BDA and other external stakeholders to develop a mutually beneficial partnership and ensure successful delivery of the JEI project. Responsibilities will include delivering day-to-day project administration, coordinating and supporting project working groups, producing project documentation, and identifying and mitigating project risks. You will contribute to programme development and support the Deputy Director and the Associate Director (Dance) with validation and governance processes, and act as a secretary to relevant committees and advisory groups.
Educated to degree level, you will be experienced in carrying out international projects or programme management/ administration role in higher education, along with strong understanding of UK-China partnership development within higher education. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to represent the Conservatoire confidently to a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders and government or embassy officials. Ability to communicate in Mandarin would be highly desirable. Please note that the role will involve significant international travel.

Tasked with operational delivery of exceptionally good customer care, including a key role as front-facing theatre representative. Reporting to the theatre management, this position will ensure all services comply with applicable legislation; including health and safety, licensing and environmental health as well as ensuring that all staff adhere to trust financial operations regulations and procedures.
Core General Duties and ResponsibilitiesGeneral
• Promoting the highest standards of customer service in the team
• Representing the company as duty manager ensuring the integrity of the Company’s Licences.
• Management of all event staff, including bar staff, front of house staff and stewards, and maintenance and cleaning staff.
• Supporting colleagues and managers in all aspects of safety, emergency and evacuation procedures as required
• Ensuring that foyers and auditoria are always well presented. Being proactive and reactive in taking action to improve the presentation of our buildings including items that require input from other departments.
Stock Control and Analysis
• Manage all sales activities, ensuring licence requirements and hygiene standards are rigorously adhered to.
• Ordering, receiving, costing profitability and receipts of all stocks in accordance with Company procedures.
• Arrange receipt of goods, checking stock receipts, recording / distribution of stock and authorising credit sales.
• Determining and monitoring controls for float issue, receiving nightly cash, and checking and banking activities, in line with company financial policy. Fully assist in and provide accurate information for regular internal and external stocktaking.
• Care of the beer cellar and stock rooms keeping them clean, tidy, safe and secure.
• Record, analyse and balance daily till sales.
Hospitality
• Setting up and running Hospitality or other functions.
• Liaison with outside caterers and events suppliers
• Supporting the Booker in the arrangements for conferencing, functions and event management of our venues.
• Preparation of information for credit sales for both internal and external customers
Commercial Development and Promotion
• Establish sales targets to be achieved and ensure these are achieved and, where possible, improved.
• Work collaboratively with the Marketing and other Departments in developing sales and promotion opportunities
• Develop product selection and promotion
• Supporting other departments in the devising and development of retail campaigns for the Trust’s bars and trading activities, based on main stage programme and being active in the creation of promotional sales strategies to maximise profit
• Promote feedback from staff and members of the public and conduct other research as necessary to promote excellent customer service and develop commercial success.
