Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated team to deliver person centred and bespoke trauma informed support to vulnerable women in Luton. This new service will provide a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for women facing sexual exploitation and substance dependency – a place they can truly call home. Through stable, person-centred care, you'll play a vital role in empowering women to rebuild their lives and embrace brighter futures.
In this role, as a Support Mentor, you will work within a 24 hour service which provided person centred support to our residents, working to ensure the safety and wellbeing. Our residents have experienced multiple forms of exclusion, such as historical/ongoing abuse, involvement in the criminal justice system, mental health challenges, drug and/or alcohol dependency and enduring high levels of violence and coercion. You will build trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins. Your role will focus on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals
Responsibilities include:
- Holding a caseload, conducting key work sessions which are personable to resident needs
- Carry out regular welfare checks, safeguarding checks, and general living checks
- Encourage residents to take part in activities and events both within the service and the community
- Keep support plans up to date on a regular basis
- Work closely with the rest of the team to provide overall excellent service delivery, this may mean also supporting with their caseloads, and other tasks as necessary
- Building trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins.

The Youth Employability Service
CXK delivers the Youth Employability Service (YES) across East Sussex, commissioned by East Sussex County Council. We offer information, advice, support and guidance to young people in academic years 12 and 13 who are not in education, employment or training (NEET), helping them to explore their options, plan and then take their next steps. We also work with schools supporting young people in year 11 who are at risk of becoming NEET. Liaising with a range of other services, YES is focussed on supporting young people to achieve their potential.
The Team
The YES team support young people from across the county, seeing them at CXK bases, partner venues or in community settings. The team assess and action plan with young people referred to the service, supporting them to understand their options and take steps toward achieving their goals around education, training and/ or employment. Working with a wide range of young people, the team approach is focused, creative and persistent, building on young peoples’ confidence and motivation alongside their skills and personal growth.
The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Support Adviser.
The Youth Support Adviser (YSA) is a key role in the Youth Employability Service, acting as the first point of contact for 16-18-year-olds who are NEET or at risk of NEET. You will support with first appointments and initial assessments of need, when young people are referred to YES, alongside supporting your caseload. Guiding them through re-engagement with suitable post-16 provisions and provide targeted intervention to those who have withdrawn from or not started their Post 16 provisions.
Working across the East of the county with schools and FE Colleges you will play a key role in ensuring that young people — receive the tailored guidance and support they need to progress confidently into further education, training, or employment. So strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

The Role:

What will the role look like?
Commissioned by West Leeds AIP, the postholder will work across schools and education settings within the West Silc’s catchment. The postholder will provide creative and strength based interventions to young people referred for support due to risks outside the home (CSE/CGE) IT is expected that interventions will enable young people to overcome barriers and to reengage with education and learning.
What we are looking for?
The post holder will be expected to provide mentoring and intensive support for young people referred to the service. Provide access to a range of interventions that are planned around the needs of the young person. This could include group work, one to one support and access to holiday activities. Support the wider family as required, strengthening attachments and improving relationships. And advocate with schools and other professionals involved.

Skills, knowledge and expertise
- You will have a nursing degree (or equivalent training), current state registration plus at least three years post qualification experience within an oncology nursing or related setting
- A post graduate qualification in a relevant field would be advantageous.
- You will be able to demonstrate experience of providing person focused, care support and a commitment to working as an effective member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- You will have broad and up to date clinical knowledge in the field of cancer and be comfortable using narrative and strong interpersonal skills to assess cancer support needs and elicit concerns.

- Support the Centre Head in monitoring and identifying aspects of Maggie’s programme of support that are under or over utilised.
- Ensure that Maggie’s Centre environment and resources are maintained in accordance with Maggie’s policies and procedures to ensure that the programme of support is provided effectively and efficiently in a welcoming place.

Skills, knowledge and expertise
- You will have a nursing degree (or equivalent training), current state registration and at least three years post qualification experience within an oncology nursing or related setting.
- A Post graduate qualification in a relevant field would be advantageous.
- You will be able to demonstrate experience of providing person focused, care support and a commitment to working as an effective member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- You will have broad and up to date clinical knowledge in the field of cancer and be comfortable using narrative and strong interpersonal skills to assess cancer support needs and elicit concerns.
- Well organised, emotionally sensitive while also resilient, the post holder will be able to manage the demands of ongoing emotionally intense work.

We're currently recruiting for a full time position in our Childline Universal team in Manchester.
You will use your skills flexibly to support volunteers while they talk to children. You will also have opportunities to directly support children and young people by responding to contacts in your role as a Childline Practitioner (Universal). You will lead on key on-shift safeguarding decisions and use coaching to maintain and develop the quality of the service. You will ensure every child and young person receives a high-quality service and outside of shift provide effective supervision, coaching, feedback, training and support to volunteers.
We support hundreds of thousands of children all over the UK every year.
As a Childline Practitioner (Universal) you will deliver this vital service alongside a committed and dedicated team who will share your values of supporting children and young people.
You will work a hybrid rota which includes a consistent balance of morning, daytime, and evening shifts across a 6-week pattern, which includes weekend working one in every three weeks (or one in six weeks for part time colleagues).
There is built in time for 3-day weekends and a third of the working days can be done from home. Every Childline Practitioner (Universal) receives a 7% rota allowance on top of their basic salary.

Finding Freedom From Abuse Role Title Domestic Abuse Support Worker Reports to Head of Refuge Location Test Valley • To work outside of normal working hours including participation in the on-call rota. When on Special conditions call, the role holder needs to be available for work and have access to a car. • The role holder needs to have an objective distance from any personal experience of violence or abuse. • Due to the nature of this role, there is a Genuine Occupational Requirement that only female candidates will be considered. Role Purpose To provide high quality support and safety planning to women and children in crisis. This includes enabling women to access housing, welfare, benefits and legal advice. A key requirement is to provide personal welfare support and to ensure that women are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment. Responsibility Areas Service delivery Key Activities • To provide practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic violence and other forms of violence and abuse in accordance with FFFA values. About the role:
Reporting to the Registered Manager, you'll deliver high-quality person-centred services through strong line management of the senior support workers and support staff teams. · Ensure people are supported to give feedback on the support received and act upon this feedback, updating support plans accordingly.

What we're looking for:
Essential:
· QCF level 4/5 management qualification or willing to work towards
· Experience of supporting people who have learning disabilities, with minimum 1 year's management experience
· Experience of positively liaising with external agencies, families, and representatives
· Experience of working within legislative guidelines, i.e., C IW Standards, Mental Capacity Act, Safeguarding, Health and Safety, DOLS etc
· Ability to work flexibly and take part in an ‘Out of Hours' service
