The ideal candidate will have previous visitor facing experience ideally in a leisure or heritage environment. We are looking for a local personal assistant, for a 12-year-old boy, to accompany him to activities (or Social Activities)
He has been diagnosed with ASD, ADHD, severs disease (which causes pain upon walking), chronic fatigue, and an autoimmune condition which affects his access to education and quality of life.
He loves computing and has an interest in coding and the mechanics of how things work but we would also like him to experience some real life learning, such as getting on a bus independently and going out for food, etc.
Kindness, reliability, a positive, flexible attitude and clear communication are key qualities for this role. A good sense of humour and a caring attitude will also help you connect and make a real difference while supporting a fun, happy child.
Person specification
– A reliable, caring, kind and clear communicator
– Someone with a younger sibling or relative who is neurodivergent, or who has neurodiversity training
– An interest in child led activity time both indoors and outdoors

Overview of Role
Highfield Pre-School, part of Harrogate Ladies’ College, is a leading independent nursery school for boys and girls aged 2–4 years. Based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, our Pre-School offers a unique and nurturing environment and provides the perfect stepping stone from home to school.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Assistant to join our Pre-School team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and is keen to develop a career in Early Years education.
A formal Early Years qualification is not required, as full training and support will be provided. We welcome applications from individuals who are motivated, caring, and eager to learn.
