This vacancy is available at HMO service located in West End, Glasgow shared by three wonderful ladies with additional needs and all of them have varying support requirements such as personal care, meal preparation, administering medication, shopping, cafe visit and visit to family and full training will be required which will be provided. This is a varied role and you will be supporting 3 different ladies living within this service. The shift patterns varies from 8 am - 8 pm or 8 am - 6 pm and additionally weekly short shifts such as 10 am - 4 pm / 09:30 - 2 pm to help the person we support to carry out daily task with the right and dedicated support.
Sarah loves being in the outdoors and is a total animal lover. Sarah's day varies depending on what she has planned, but she frequently enjoys visits to the park to feed the animals and to people watch. Sarah enjoys socialising in her local community and visiting local cafes and shops, particularly if there are fancy cars in the area for her to admire!
Ellen is a social butterfly and loves being out and about. She is a member of various clubs and groups in the local and Glasgow area and enjoys getting to know people. She is a massive Disney fan and loves all things glitz and glamour! Ellen regularly enjoys arts and craft activities where she can express herself and showcase her creative talents.
Janice enjoys being out and about in the community, especially when it involves shopping! Janice also enjoys exploring the local area and sampling the West End's cafes and shops. Janice is a massive music fan and is an 80s music fanatic.

About the role
We’re looking for a compassionate, dedicated Occupational Therapist to become a vital part of our vibrant multi-disciplinary team covering a period of maternity leave primarily based at our Ullenwood campus.
You’ll empower young people with complex physical and learning difficulties, helping them develop skills, confidence, and independence. You’ll use your creativity and clinical expertise to design personalised therapy programmes that don’t just meet needs—they unlock potential.

Michael is looking for a worker who is a driver - this is essential for Michael to be involved in community and explore new areas within & out with Glasgow, this would also be reflecting in supporting Michael to go on his holidays each year.
Michael needs support with aspects of daily living, this would include medication & financial, domestic household duties, shopping, activities.
Michael has a mild learning disability and mental health - it is important that the worker is very patient, understanding and empathetic.
It is important for Michael that staff are able to listen to any worries/concerns he may have during challenging shifts, and are calm & reassuring during this process.

Ben lives in his own home and receives support with most aspects of daily living. Ben is very active and loves being out going for nature walks where he splashes in puddles and enjoys the ever-changing landscape. Ben also enjoys trampolining, going to the gym and going cycling.
A typical day could be supporting Ben with personal tasks within his home, maintaining his house and garden, going for a walk in the countryside or going for a leisurely drive. Ben also loves to spend time with his family who he is very close to.
For Ben, structure and routine is important - it would be beneficial if you have an understanding of Autism. Ben likes his team to be calm and it's preferable that they enjoy the same activities that he does. He also likes people around him who have a good sense of humour.

Each person we support has different support needs, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.

Let us introduce you to Neil, James and Mary:
Neil is nonverbal and uses his own version of Makaton to communicate. Neil loves going out in his car, he likes going to local parks, riding bikes, going on the swings, playing basketball or just being out for a drive. Neil attends a day centre Monday - Friday for a few hours a day and does not require support while he is there. On a day in the house Neil likes to sit and watch movies or listen to music. He enjoys nursery rhymes and his favourite movie is Shrek. Neil requires support with all aspects of his daily life like medication administering, meal preparation and personal care.
Shift times vary however can work a range of shifts of 10am - 10pm, 8am - 11am, 2pm - 10pm or Waking nightshifts from 10pm - 8am.
Neil requires a person centred approach which will give him the dedicated support he deserves to be able to reach all his goals.
Let's introduce you to James:
James is a quiet person who likes his own space. James does not use words to communicate and his staff need to be very observant as they will read his facial expressions to gauge how he is feeling and what he needs. James enjoys long walks and keeping active, some of the activities he likes include bowling, swimming, going to the gym and visiting museums. James is sensitive to sensory input and can be triggered in situations that are new to him or where he doesn't feel comfortable. James' staff will need to support him through these times and will receive full training in order to do so.
Let us introduce you to Mary:
Mary loves going out in her garden, especially to feed the birds. Mary enjoys going out for a drive in her car and will sing her favourite songs along the way. A typical day for Mary would be spending time looking at her favourite items, singing songs and having a chat and spending time with the people around her. You can always find Mary drinking a cup of tea and she loves to sit and have a tea and a biscuit.
Mary receives support at all times and requires support with her medication, personal care, meal preparation and all other areas of her life. Shift patterns are 12hr shifts from 8pm - 8am and waking nightshift.

Position: Charity Sales Assistant

The Role:
Traid is looking for a motivated Charity Sales Assistant who wants a job with real purpose, loves retail, fashion, and wants to work in charity and second-hand clothing. In this role, you will assist with the day-to-day running of the shop, providing great customer service, driving sales, pricing products and merchandising.
Traid shops are busy stores that need vibrant people who can deal with high volumes of customers and keep our shop floors constantly stocked. Behind the scenes, Traid store teams also hang, tag and price large deliveries of clothes that come from our central warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Traid customers with excellent service and the best in-store experience.
- Ensure the smooth operational running of the shop.
- Process the weekly delivery and keep the shop floor stocked.
- Be a shop cashier and balance the till at the end of the day.
- Implement and process Gift Aid donations.
- Be responsible for the store in the Manager’s absence.
- Be a brand ambassador for Traid.
Ideal candidate:
- Has a passion for second-hand clothing, with a strong interest in fashion and knowledge of brands.

- Has stamina to work in an incredibly busy retail store.
- Has a good track record of reliability in previous posts, with previous customer service experience.
