The home is situated in a quiet residential area, but still close to the centre of the historic market town of Bourne. The town provides a comprehensive range of shops and amenities, all of which are within easy reach of Digby Court.

Parkside consists of 24 self-contained flats for older people. There are five two-bedroom and 19 one-bedroom flats in this sheltered housing scheme. Each flat offers spacious, independent living with wheelchair access. The lounge/dining area of the ground floor flats give onto a garden or decked area, and the first floor flats have a Juliette balcony.
There are communal areas too, including a central dining room and kitchen, hairdressing room, internet room, lounge and gardens. All the flats are linked up to an emergency call system.
A 24-hour staffed service is available with staff on-site from 7.30am – 10pm, plus sleep-in cover on call for emergencies. Our mission is simple: to help people live independently, safely, and with dignity while enjoying fulfilling lives.

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and compassionate Support Workers to join our friendly team at our St Andrews service.
We support around 20 individuals living independently in their own flats, helping them with their day-to-day lives so they can live as independently and confidently as possible. All flats are located within the same building, creating a welcoming community feel and meaning there is no travel between sites, there is always a supportive staff team on hand.
Our service is ideally located just a 5-minute walk from St Andrews bus station, with regular connections to the rest of Fife, Dundee and surrounding areas.
Please note that due to local bus timetables, public transport may not always be available for travel to or from surrounding areas at these times.

Your main duties will include but not be limited to:
- Working with colleagues as part of an effective and efficient team to support vulnerable people.
- Communicate and work well with our supported people to provide individual care and maintain appropriate relationships.
- Being responsible in supporting individuals throughout the activities, giving positive feedback and encouragement.
- Updating and maintaining accurate records using a tablet on Arks Information Management system.

What is a Relief Support Worker?
As a Relief Support Worker you will carry out all the same duties while on shift as our Support Workers. As you do not have contracted hours it gives you the flexibility to only pick up shifts when it suits you.*
*Please note: Relief work is on an as and when basis to cover for sickness absence, study leave and other staff contingencies. We cannot guarantee you regular or continued use as the need for relief staffing changes from time to time.

About the role:
As a Domiciliary Support Worker you will assist people with daily living tasks which may include, domestic services, social support, personal care, support with medication, meal preparation, and managing their finances.
You will also support with activities within their local community and must be happy in all weathers as many of the people we support lead active lives.
This role is supporting individuals with varying levels of learning disabilities and Autism, you would also be required to cover Sleep-in’s.
The role may comprise various shifts including mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends, sleepovers will include an allowance.
Previous experience is desirable for this position, but don’t let that put you off, if you have the right enthusiasm and a can-do attitude, we want to hear from you, as full training will be provided. You will be expected to work in Part of your training will include several shadow shifts with an experienced member of staff.
Must be over 18 years old,
A DBS for both adult and children will be required for this role.
