Our adult substance use service in the London Borough of Redbridge is seeking professional and motivated recovery practitioners, who work in a trauma-informed way to deliver evidence based psychosocial interventions in one-to-one and group settings.
This rewarding role has scope for growth and innovation within a supportive and friendly multidisciplinary team of clinical and non-clinical professionals.
The main purpose of this role is to provide excellent quality of care aligning to the CQC Key Lines of Enquiry and underpinned by Via’s Values, that supports people to make meaningful change in their health and wellbeing, by reducing or stopping their use of alcohol or drugs. Some responsibilities of the role include:
- Comprehensively assessing new people for treatment and ensuring they are provided with opportunities to start treatment as soon as possible following assessment.
- Providing one to one behaviour change interventions to your own caseload, using Via’s Core Model of psychosocial interventions, and other evidence based interventions such as ITEP mapping, that are relevant and appropriate to their goals, substance use, and stage of recovery.
- Working with clinical colleagues to ensure people are accessing clinical interventions, such as OST prescribing, relapse prevention prescribing, or community detox, are supported and management appropriately.
- Ensuring those on your caseload are effectively engaged, reengaged and discharged, according to local operating procedures.
- Providing and documenting relevant harm reduction strategies and interventions offered to them, according to their risks.
- Ensuring their risk assessments, risk management plans, and care plans are regularly and collaboratively reviewed with them.
- Maintaining effective oversight and management of safeguarding cases on your caseload, supported by the local safeguarding leads and your team leader.
- Support service delivery including duty cover and group facilitation.
- Professionally and effectively communicating with other professionals involved in their care as needed.
The role is predominantly based in Ilford Town Centre with some requirement at time to external meetings and satellites within the borough, and to other Via locations as needed.

School ministry is important to us. We are involved in weekly Collective Worship in both primary schools within the Benefice, and organise their Harvest, Christmas, Easter and end of year services in our churches. It is important our parish priest plays a key part in this ministry.
You will be supported by a paid Parish Administrator, a Licensed Schools & Families Evangelist, a team of trained Parish Visitors (inc Anna Chaplains), four churchwardens and keen and supportive PCC members.
The Vicarage is an attractive and well-proportioned 4-bed house built in the 1980s, situated on the lane which runs between the two villages. It is just under a mile from each church. There is a double-garage with electric car charging points.

Job Description – Carer Support Worker
Ribble Valley Crossroads Care provides support to carers and people with care needs 24 hours
a day, 365 days a year. A carer is anyone who cares, unpaid, for a friend or family member
who due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction cannot cope without their
support.
Staff will be encouraged and supported to see their work in terms of helping people to achieve
their goals and desired outcomes and not just to perform the prescribed tasks. The job

Due to continued expansion, our fantastic team are on the lookout for a compassionate and creative individual with a positive attitude to join us as Waken Nights Support Practitioner on a part-time basis (24 hours per week), based in Glenrothes.
About Us:
The Richmond Fellowship Scotland provides personalised and outcome-focused support to over 2800 individuals in their own homes across Scotland, making us the country's largest provider of social care. We support individuals with a variety of different needs such as physical and/or learning disabilities, ongoing mental health issues, alcohol or substance abuse and autism. Some of the people we support can present challenging behavior or require a high level of personal care.
The Role:
As a Support Practitioner, you will support two male service users with learning disabilities, autism, ADHD and epilepsy in their own homes. Their support needs include personal care, preparing breakfast, completing household tasks and checks throughout the night.
To be part of our team, we’ll need you to:
- Have an empathetic and caring nature
- Good organisation and observation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence in using computers
- Be able to work well in a team environment and on your own
- A good level of physical fitness in order to complete CALMS training
- Experience in care is highly desirable
Requirements:
This role will involve working two 12 hour shifts (9pm-9am) per week. There will be an expectation to work day shifts to begin with to undertake training.

- To promote independence and active citizenship, community inclusion, support with household chores. Required support may include personal care.
