We seek candidates who have expertise in and seek to advance critical social science understandings of the multifaceted social and political aspects of climate crisis, centring urban geographic dimensions of the crisis. Specifically, these may include: i) urban climate justice; ii) climate-related urban social movements; iii) extreme weather as it relates to urban precarity (e.g., work, housing, food security); iv) critical analyses of urban infrastructures in relation to just climate futures; v) Black, Indigenous, and/or queer approaches to urban life and climate change; and vi) cities and extractivism. Other related interests are also welcome. We particularly welcome applications from scholars whose work addresses one or more of these specializations in the context of the Global South.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in human geography, or a related discipline at the time of appointment. Ph.D. candidates with a solid indication of imminent completion may be hired at the rank of Instructor and will be promoted to the rank of Assistant Professor upon final completion of the Ph.D.

As a charity we provide on-going mental and emotional well-being support to families affected by childhood cancers, both on and off treatment, but particularly recognising that post treatment can be a challenging time, when families are having to adapt to their `new normal’. To date, we have supported over 350 families across Cheshire, North West England and remotely in North Wales. After 14 years of fundraising, we opened our brand-new purpose-built Joshua Tree Support Centre in May 2021. The centre, located in Sandiway, Northwich has been built and furnished entirely through a mix of local donations, grant funding and corporate support. There are now a range of exciting opportunities to further grow and develop the charity over the coming years. This includes increasing the number of families we support, diversifying and raising new income streams and further developing our partnership work. Job Purpose To deliver play based activities at the Support Centre in Cheshire and/or on location at identified venues across Cheshire. Work alongside our family support team to develop and plan playful events that enable children and families to be included in fun, child-centred activities and build friendships. To create opportunities to embed principles of quality play into events and supervise child-led play. The activities will be delivered during evenings, weekends and school holidays, therefore offering families a broad range of opportunities to engage. Days and hours of work will be negotiated at least a month in advance. As part of our family support service, The Joshua Tree provides opportunities for all members of our families to connect with and gain support from our team of support workers. Hi, I’m S and I have been attending the South Glasgow Recovery Hub. I self-referred to the hub for support for my ongoing addiction. My life has been difficult as I have been impacted with trauma, which led to a break down in family relationships. The hub has provided me with support and amazing opportunities with to deal with my trauma and substance use by attending in hub groups, as well as regular meeting with my keyworker. The Hub got me connected with additional support for housing as well as other recovery supports in the community.
When it comes to supporting me, it is imperative that I have someone I can build a relationship up with to ensure there is trust, patience and empathy. It’s important that my keyworker has genuine values, understanding of addiction, with a friendly approach.
As a Recovery Practitioner, you’ll be a key part of someone’s turning point. You’ll work closely with individuals to create tailored recovery plans, provide evidence-based interventions, and connect them with the right services. Your role will be about more than just treatment — it’s about restoring hope, building resilience, and helping people reclaim their lives.

The two shrines to Our Lady are separate and distinct from the benefices yet have considerable impact on the villages and on parish life in this deeply rural setting.
Both benefices are part of the Diocese of Norwich. As petitioning parishes they receive sacramental and pastoral care from the Bishop of Richborough.
The parishes are prayerfully seeking their new priest to be:
· God-centred and rooted in Anglo-Catholic prayer and spirituality, with a deep regard for the Seven Sacraments and for the Divine Office, who utilises the opportunities for outreach afforded by the Occasional Offices and who is committed to village community
· Equipped with a real sense of mission to parishioners, to visitors and to pilgrims;
· Aware of the character of the rural way of life, and able to embrace the particular challenges presented by deeply rural parishes;
· Possessed of an awareness of the variety of the Benefice’s liturgical heritage, and committed to its further development;
· A fluent Preacher of the Gospel and Teacher of the Faith;
· Keen to work with, and minister to, the Primary School and the younger residents of the Benefice, whilst at the same time valuing older generations in our communities

Manchester Mind believes in the power of listening and of being heard, because better understanding of mental health benefits everyone.
We are working to increase access to mental health support for care leavers. Working in collaboration with Manchester City Council, this role will be part of the Staying Close team, developing a service for young people age 16-25 who are stepping across from residential homes and/or released from custody, developing their pathway to independence. The service will offer a range of practical and emotional support.
Position: Mental Health Practitioner (Leaving Care)
Salary: £32,271 p.a.
Hours: 35 hours per week until 31 st July 2026 (extension possible dependent upon funding)

The skills and knowledge that are important to us are:
- A relevant professional qualification in Social Work, Counselling, or Youth & Community Work (at graduate level).
- At least two years’ experience working with young people aged 16-25 in the care system and/or youth work. (ESSENTIAL)
- Experience in providing effective short-term and long-term support to young people who are under stress/have mental health difficulties.
- Ability to engage with young people individually using creative and imaginative methods and processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively and to create kind relationships with colleagues, partners, volunteers, staff and young people that lead to people feeling accepted, understood and able to contribute.

About the Role
As an Enhanced Care team Recovery Coordinator, you will be employed by Waythrough to support higher need service users who are unable to progress their timeframe due to their multiple-needs. Multiple needs include but not limited to; chronic physical health, comorbidities, financial issues, memory/cognitive impairment, age, housing, limited social support and other multi-agency support needs.
This is an interesting and rewarding role where you will have the flexibility to complete greater levels of outreach and go to service users to reduce barriers to engagement, support them to engage with specialist services, bring the intensive support and interventions to the individuals and enhance positive outcomes through this flexible working.
What You’ll Do
The post holder will provide holistic support to adult service users to support their drug / alcohol treatment. Key roles and responsibilities include:
- Assess and engage with those individuals identified to have multiple needs who require a more flexible way of working including outreach support to reduce identified barriers to engagement with mainstream support in a service setting due to their identified additional needs.
- Manage a service user caseload and review on going care and treatment liaising closely with the full range of specialist workers within the multi-agency team, including family members and significant others, as appropriate.
- The role will include but is not restricted to conducting home visits, supporting clients to appointments with various services/specialisms as well as meeting individuals in the community.
- To exercise excellent communication skills and therapeutic skills when dealing with Service Users, Carers, and Caring agencies.
- To work closely and in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team from across the Forward Leeds partnership and externally providing advice and guidance to managers and other colleagues, through attendance at reviews, team meetings and group supervision and via the telephone.
To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:

- You will have knowledge and understanding of interventions, including brief interventions Motivational Interviewing, Psychosocial Interventions, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Harm reduction and multi-disciplinary working.
