Your role
As a Plant and Machinery Trainer, you will act as a subject matter expert and you will play a key role in delivering high quality, competence based training and verification to both staff and volunteers, including local trainer assessors. You will ensure that all training sessions are engaging, practical and aligned with the latest operational practices. By maintaining a strong focus on quality and consistency, you will help build and sustain a capable, confident team equipped to operate effectively in demanding environments.
This is regional role with frequent travel across the North and East, regular overnight stays, and occasional travel to support other RNLI regions as needed. Flexibility is essential as volunteer availability often falls outside of standard working hours, including evenings and weekends.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will require the following skills and expertise:
- An experienced technical background or experience as a plant operator is required. Electronic or electrical knowledge is an advantage but not essential.
- A strong understanding of operating machinery, fault diagnosis and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with RNLI lifeboats and associated equipment (desirable).
- Experience in delivering training or assessing others (desirable, but if you are motivated and eager to learn, we’ll support you with full training).
- Good computer literacy, with the confidence to use digital systems and tools effectively.

We are looking for a Senior C# Developer to join our Development team.

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior C# Developer to lead the development of scalable, cloud-based software solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust applications using C#, .NET (Core), and Microsoft Azure. You will play a key role in system architecture, cloud service integration, and mentoring junior team members, while collaborating with agile cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, enterprise-grade solutions. This position is ideal for a developer with a strong background in cloud-native development, microservices, and modern DevOps practices who is ready to drive innovation in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Lead the design, development and maintenance of high-quality secure C#/.NET applications and services programming language.
• Collaborate with Product managers and stakeholders to refine requirements and propose technical solutions
• Champion software development best practices including clean architecture, security, and maintainability.
• Work closely with our Application Support team to troubleshoot critical issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Mentor and support junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
