The Assessment Developer is a key role in ensuring the above. As an Assessment Developer you will be responsible for the design and successful approval of new assessments/qualifications. Utilising your assessment knowledge and working with internal and external stakeholders, you will design assessments that are valid, reliable, accessible, and industry leading. Additionally, you will support the Assessment Developer Lead/Assessment Manager in overseeing development of assessment strategies and responding to feedback from Ofqual on new approvals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on the design and development of assessments for regulated qualifications and non-regulated qualifications.
• Contribute to the development of new assessment constructs and assessment strategies.
• Collaborate with the Assessment Production Team, the Qualifications Development Team and the EQA Team to ensure that assessment developments are in line with requirements of qualifications and delivered on time.
• Recruit, build and maintain a network of external subject matter experts, minimising costs for assessment design and development.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with subject matter experts who assist with the writing, reviewing, editing and progression of assessment papers and mark schemes.
• Use technology to ensure excellent communication of information and materials to external subject matter experts and other assessment stakeholders.
• Ensure the Awarding Organisation meets all regulatory requirements in the design, development and delivery of assessments.
• Support with the day-to-day operational functions of the wider Product Development Team where required.

Rehoming Coordinator

Looking to make a real difference to the lives of dogs and people?
As a Rehoming Coordinator at Dogs Trust, you'll play a key role in finding loving homes for our dogs, supporting adopters and helping reduce the time dogs spend in our care.

What does this role do?

As a Rehoming Coordinator, you'll:

• Champion the rehoming journey by providing excellent customer service, matching dogs to adopters, and arranging safe introductions, including occasional home visits.
• Maintain oversight of dog status across kennels, Foster and Home Stay, responding to enquiries and proactively seeking rehoming opportunities.
• Promote dogs ready for adoption by creating engaging online profiles and images, working closely with the Media Coordinator.
• Support the rehoming of long-term and complex dogs by liaising with the Behaviour and Welfare teams to communicate specific needs.
• Welcome and assist visitors during public opening hours, complete adoption paperwork, and contribute to kennel care as part of the wider team.

Description

Background:

Mercy Corps is a leading global organization powered by the belief that a better world is possible. In disaster, in hardship, in more than 40 countries around the world, we partner to put bold solutions into action — helping people triumph over adversity and build stronger communities from within.

Decreases in humanitarian funding overall from both US and European institutional donors will not respond to the needs, which are bound to increase due to climate change. The frequency and impact of climate-related disasters is likely to increase in the years to come, leading to further displacements and negative impacts on both households and small businesses. Many climate hazards are predictable – they do not have to be treated as surprises. We do need to find ways to protect the populations we are working with against those shocks – not only to respond to their immediate needs and help them rebuild after a disaster hits, but also to protect the economic gains our programs have contributed to.

It is in this context that Mercy Corps is currently re-evaluating its strategy and exploring how it can better leverage the insurance sector to 1. Improve impact in our support to climate-affected populations; and 2. Expand our programmatic approach into disaster risk finance.

Mercy Corps is not starting from zero, but rather seeks to build on its experience and a series of initiatives that have, over the years, contributed to generating a strong body of knowledge. Our experience ranges from establishing MiCRO in Latin America, a micro-insurance company providing insurance policies against earthquakes to the most vulnerable, to working with local insurance companies such as Takaful in Kenya to test remote-sensing insurance for pastoralist populations, or providing equity to Pula Insurance through Mercy Corps Ventures. While these experiences have been successful overall, it is now time to not only bring all of our experiences under one roof but also develop a strong value proposition for Mercy Corps in the disaster risk management and insurance space.

Purpose / Project Description:

Mercy Corps is seeking support from insurance experts to define our value proposition and partnership models for advancing inclusive insurance. Mercy Corps’ positioning will need to be built on our current experience; and considered at three levels – at the macro level, working with national governments and insurance partners to pool funds and protect a large segment of the population; at the meso level to protect aggregators such as agribusinesses and financial institutions who can then provide coverage to their members/clients; and at the micro level, working with small businesses, smallholder farmers and individuals to facilitate access to insurance. It also includes taking stock of Mercy Corps’ experience with different models such as anticipatory action models, parametric/index-based insurance and/or traditional indemnity insurance, and bundling insurance with other financial services.

Mercy Corps is already working with a student team from George Washington University to map the weather-related insurance sector, identify areas of opportunity, and compile lessons learned from the broader insurance sector in that region. Mercy Corps is seeking a consultant to complement this work and develop a strategic roadmap that will include:

• A framework and theory of change based on a comprehensive SWOT analysis and strong understanding of the current trends in inclusive insurance, underlining how Mercy Corps can respond to the challenges currently faced by private insurance corporations in expanding their offering/client base and how much of the gaps left by the loss of funding in emergency response insurance can fill. This framework will clearly define the connection points between anticipatory action, private insurance, and macro schemes such as ARC Replica.

• Recommendations on investable and scalable models;

• A clear, actionable blueprint for engaging with new insurance partners

POSITION SUMMARY

The Executive Operations and Governance Officer will provide high-quality executive and administrative support to EMpowers President & CEO and two Vice Presidents, while also managing and coordinating key governance processes across EMpowers' global entities.
This role will split time equally between Executive Support (50%) and Governance (50%) responsibilities. The position requires strong organisational, communication, and relationship management skills, with an ability to anticipate needs, manage multiple priorities, and maintain discretion and professionalism when working with senior leaders, Board members, and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, resourceful, and detail-oriented, with experience in managing complex schedules, coordinating governance documentation, and ensuring smooth operations for executive-level functions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Executive Support (50%)

Support to the President & CEO

• Provide comprehensive administrative and executive support to the CEO, including complex calendar management, travel coordination, expense management, and document preparation.
• Support the CEO in preparation of PowerPoint presentations, reports, and other communication materials as needed.
• Manage workflows and actions using automation.
• Anticipate needs, manage priorities, and ensure the CEO is well-prepared for meetings and events.

Support to the Vice Presidents (VPs)

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Extra Care Team as we prepare to open a new scheme in Hunstanton, you will be joining the team before the scheme opens in August 2026.

Prior to Lavender View opening, you will be able to visit our other extra care schemes and start building strong relationships with our other partners. There will be an element of working from home and the scheme before it is completed for opening. You will be involved in viewings of the show apartment, nominations panels, assessments of people referred to the service, marketing events and developing local knowledge which will help support Lavender View to become a vibrant community when we open.

More about your role  

You will take an active role to engage with residents to promote safe and secure independent living, ensuring an engaging vibrant environment to reduce isolation. Providing advice on rent and service charges, assisting with benefits claims and supporting customers with their financial needs. You will work with the internal Places for People income recovery team to reduce rent arrears. You will be assisting in compliance.

Travel within local geographical areas will be required.

More about you  

It is essential that you have experience/knowledge of housing management, social care and/or wellbeing of Retirement/Extra Care living services. You will possess good computer skills with knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Effective communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to build great relationships with customers, partners and colleagues is required. It is important that you have a good mix of ‘team player' attributes but also the ability to work effectively using your own initiative; as there will, be an element of lone working. You will also have an awareness of Health & Safety.

The ideal applicant will have experience of all aspects of housing management including manging anti-social behaviour and challenging situations.

A driving license and own car for business use is preferred for this role.

The Vacancy

The Relationship Fundraising team at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for securing income from individuals, regional businesses and groups fundraising in the community, effectively managing relationships to maximise income.

The Relationship Fundraising role will play a significant part in contributing to a high-performing fundraising team. The role will cover area of West London.

You will report to the Relationship Fundraising Manager and support the Head of Relationship Fundraising & Volunteering to drive the continued growth of the charity’s fundraising income in your area. You will also be required to show excellent relationship-building skills to support community partnerships and volunteer groups, driving towards agreed targets.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy, finance, and reporting

• Responsibility for stewardship and relationship building with supporters within the region.
• Identify and apply for ‘Charity of the Year’ partnerships with corporates in the region, account manage these relationships up to a value of £50,000 per annum and support the Partnership Development Team with national partnerships in your region.
• Support existing volunteer fundraisers to encourage continued loyalty to the charity and to maximise funds raised, in accordance with fundraising legislation and good practice.
• Recruit new fundraising supporters in line with strategy.
• Support the Relationship Fundraising Manager (RFM) and Head of Relationship Fundraising (HORF) in developing the Relationship Fundraising strategy for ARUK to increase income within this stream.
• Support and extend volunteer networks within geographical area in line with strategy.
• To ensure that fundraising activity is implemented and managed to deliver budgets, targets and income in line with strategy. To achieve this by supporting and facilitating the development of groups and volunteers across geographical area.
• Work across a diverse geographical area and within a geographically dispersed team, whilst managing own workload in a cost-effective and proactive way.

Supporter Management

• Provide excellent customer service to fundraising supporters, with prompt responses to enquiries, to acknowledge support and increase long-term loyalty.
• Provide high-quality account management to volunteer groups in geographical area.
• Effective management of volunteer relationships within geographical area.
• Support, motivate and develop local fundraising volunteers, ensuring they have a clear understanding of ARUK to enable them to represent the charity’s work effectively.
• In liaison with the Partnership Development Managers and Partnership Officers, provide high quality account management to corporate supporters within specified geographical area and/or of relevant value.
• Keep up to date with fundraising legislation and codes of practice to be able to provide relevant advice to fundraisers.

Increasing Community Support within geographical area

• Use own initiative to extend volunteer networks, develop new groups and supporters, and respond to fundraising opportunities within geographical area, in line with strategy.

Job description

Exciting opportunities have arisen to join our clinical administration team in the role of Patient Administration Coordinator, based at Pilgrims Hospices in Thanet.

The Role

Working in conjunction with the Team Leader, you will provide high level, site based administration support to a multi-disciplinary clinical team, maintaining efficient systems and processes relating to patient care across our inpatient units and community.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Liaising and be a first point of call for patients, carers and volunteers who contact the Hospice
• Supporting the inpatient wards to ensure that they are appropriately resourced at all times
• Ensuring accurate entry of information onto the patient database and timely production of administration for on-site meetings
• Working flexibly to ensure that all queries and administrative requirements are dealt with quickly, efficiently and when necessary, sympathetically
• Continuing to coordinate the processes post-death for a patient
• Working within different areas in the hospice to support the wider multidisciplinary team

Working Arrangements

This is a part-time role (28 hours per week) and is based at Pilgrims Hospice Thanet. Working days will be 4 days between Monday and Friday, with work patterns being either 8.00-4.00, 8.30-4.30 or 9:00-5:00 as rostered by the team leader in advance. You will be provided with on-site parking and subsidised meals during your work day.

About you

To be successful in this role you should:

• Have significant relevant experience in an administrative role ideally within a healthcare or charitable organisation.
• Be fully IT literate, particularly in the use of databases and Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
• Be organised and able to demonstrate high standards of verbal and written communication
• To demonstrate the ability to project empathy as required and frequently deal with matters of a sensitive and at times distressing nature
• Be able to work effectively with minimum supervision, supportively in a team environment and at times under pressure
