I am a lady in my late 70’s living in the Roath area of Cardiff. I’m looking to employ a PA to support me in my home and to access the local community to maintain my mobility.

- Keeping me safe by supporting me in my home.
- To prompt and encourage me to engage in some physio for my hands and complete some tasks around my home.
- To assist with some personal care.
- To support with accessing my local community to aid my mobility.

ABOUT THE JOB
The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority). The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK before you start work. Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.

Job Summary
The salary for this full time permanent role is circa £30,000 per annum.
The Executive Assistant provides high-quality administrative and coordination support to the Leadership Group and plays a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of War Child’s office. The role supports diary management, travel, expenses and meeting logistics for senior leaders, and contributes to a welcoming, safe and well-organised office environment.
This is a great opportunity for an organised, proactive and people-focused Executive Assistant to join a lively, hardworking and values-driven organisation. Supporting the Leadership Group and helping to keep our office running smoothly, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day rhythm of War Child.
The role combines practical administrative support with hands-on office and facilities coordination. You’ll help manage diaries, travel, expenses and meeting logistics for senior leaders, while also being a key point of contact for office-based activity — from welcoming colleagues and visitors, to liaising with suppliers and supporting a safe, well-organised working environment.

The Executive Assistant supports the practical delivery of Leadership Group administration and office operations, ensuring activity is well organised, responsive and aligned with agreed priorities. In relation to office and facilities, the role works closely with the P&C Director and Senior HR Advisor to support coordination, administration and day-to-day operational needs. The role also contributes to maintaining a welcoming, safe and well-functioning office environment, supporting colleagues and external providers as needed.
The Executive Assistant supports organisational effectiveness through reliable administration, coordination and attention to detail, and is a key point of contact for day-to-day office and facilities matters, working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation.
Your Responsibilities
Support for Leadership Group
- Provide administrative and diary management support to three fundraising Leadership Group members, coordinating schedules, meetings and commitments in a responsive and organised manner.
- Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements for Leadership Group members, including booking flights, accommodation, ground transport and necessary documentation, and supporting trip logistics as required.
- Process expenses, invoices and credit card reconciliations for Leadership Group members, ensuring accuracy, timely submission and compliance with organisational policies.
- Work closely with the Executive Officer to the CEO to support the delivery of administrative, logistical and diary management activities, following agreed priorities and delegation between roles.
- Support the planning and coordination of Leadership Group away days and meetings, including venue booking, logistics and practical arrangements.
- Assist with the preparation of presentations and documents for Board and Leadership Group meetings, ensuring materials are well presented and accurate.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: :
- The Executive Assistant will assist both the Chief Product Officer in all areas of executive operations and coordinate communications across programs and units/departments;
- Coordinate all aspects of meeting preparation, including communication, logistics, agendas and materials preparation, as well as meeting follow-up, including taking and sharing minutes, and tracking correspondence;
- Handle communications by coordinating consistent and timely follows up between team members, and other units as needed;
- Connect stakeholders and initiate workflow streamlining;
- Provide strategic management and oversight of the Chief Product Officer’s time with a strong understanding of priorities; ability to serve as a gatekeeper to ensure time is used for the highest-value reasons;

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Bachelor’s degree is required;
- 6-8 years Executive Assistant experience, or administrative experience at an executive level;
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and display a high level of diplomacy and professionalism:
- Exceptional organizational skills to handle ambiguity and multiple priorities in a time critical manner;
- Pro-activeness, engaging, keeping consistent overview of the department;
- Working experience in an international and intercultural environment; and
- Language skills: English, but Dutch preferred, or at least a working knowledge and willingness to learn Dutch. Additional languages are welcome.

Role Purpose
The Executive Assistant (EA) will provide operational and visibility support to the Executive Director (ED), with the aim of optimising the ED’s time and supporting organisational impact. Personal Assistant for Angus
Angus is an active young man who is non verbal autistic so looking for PAs to support him in his busy life so he can experience as much as possible.
Angus enjoys both indoor and outdoor activities, including trips to sealife, safari Park and zoos and also his hobbies like the gym, pottery, cinema, swimming, Skiing, walks and eating out. He will need support while doing his activities to stay safe, communicate with others and understand what is expected and needed of him. The role is varied as he needs personal support while in the bathroom and financial support while paying for things and everything in between.
The position is based in the Kirkintilloch area and is for between 9 and 18 hours a week either taking him out or supporting him at home so I can go out. He will have 2 to 1 support as it is not safe to leave him unsupervised while his PA has a toilet break but in the house 1 to 1 would be fine.
I’m looking for someone on maybe a Tuesday evening for 5.30pm till 9pm and a Saturday from 9.30am till 3pm. The evening and times are flexible depending on what activity he wants to do and PAs availability. The role will be rewarding, varied and enjoyable for someone who is friendly, reliable and has a positive outlook on life. Must be able to work on their own or be part of a team and flexible. Driving licence and car preferred but not essential.
