Role summary: We are looking for specialist victim/survivor DA Caseworkers to support our exciting domestic abuse team based within Children’s Social Care. Elmore’s domestic abuse service aims to provide a safe space for victim/survivors and perpetrators of abuse. We work with people to recognise, acknowledge, and change harmful and controlling behaviour, to keep whole families safe.
The role will focus on providing a range of one-to-one and group-based victim/survivor focused interventions to empower individuals to safely make positive change and promote the wellbeing of themselves and their children. Interventions are person-centred and underpinned by Motivational Interviewing principles, and will include safety planning and goal setting, from the perspective of the victim/survivor and child’s needs.
We are looking for candidates who have experience of empowering individuals to make positive changes to their lives and supporting clients with complex needs in a relevant field (preferably domestic abuse). Successful candidates will need to be compassionate, non-judgemental, skilled in active listening, and experienced in risk management and safety planning, as well as being a skilled communicator able to develop partnership relationships in a multi-disciplinary team.

Job description:
Provide a high-quality support service to victim/survivor clients:
• To enable parents to recognise and understand power and coercive control dynamics and patterns of abuse, and support them to make future positive choices within children’s timescales where possible
• To ensure the non-judgemental delivery of a range of one-to-one and group work interventions underpinned by Motivational Interviewing (MI) to victim/survivors of domestic abuse
• Undertake effective needs and risk assessment of clients
• Manage a caseload of allocated clients, all of whom will be victim/survivors of domestic abuse
• Provide crisis intervention as required and ongoing support to people experiencing domestic abuse, while safeguarding individuals (including children) as necessary
• Contribute to multi agency meetings regarding clients (for example, child protection conferences, MARAC and MATAC meetings, professional and strategy meetings)

The Day Centre Manager is responsible for the day to day running of the centre. About the role
- Responsible for overall day to day management of the Opportunities Centre, to include; staffing ratio, overseeing departments and leading on contracts.
- Manage the referral, assessment and transition process for individuals identifying individual support needs and their goals and objectives they wish to achieve within their day service package.
- To work collaboratively with the wider Adult Services team on project development and management.
- Attend events to promote the organisation and day service as required.
- Work alongside the Registered Manager for Norfolk to develop and implement goal plans, risk assessments, Support Plans appropriate communication methods and annual reviews – and to ensure these are regularly updated for the people we support.
- Providing opportunities for the adults to experience a wide range of community based activities.
- Responsible for ensuring all Instructors are up to date with current legislation and procedures through the regular supervision and appraisal process.
- To manage and ensure that all training requirements are up to date and relevant to all Instructors.
- Continually monitor and evaluate the individual’s progress and development of new social and daily living skills, confidence and self-esteem and ensuring these are communicated effectively and accurately to the appropriate people through regular reviews, ensure any actions are completed within a specific time frame.
- Ensure Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults procedures are an integral part of the working practices of the opportunity centre.
- Work closely with the individual’s and their family to ensure all needs are being met with a consistent approach and effective communication.
- Follow Safeguarding procedures and act promptly on any concerns.

Job Purpose: Support families affected by substance use by delivering a whole family programme. You will help strengthen family resilience, improve communication, and support positive change for children, young people, and their families in Oxfordshire.
- Deliver the Cranstoun Here4YOUth Whole Family Programme, including comprehensive whole-family assessments exploring challenges, coping strategies, and readiness for change.
- Lead the co-ordination of group interventions for children, young people, and whole families.
- Contribute to service evaluations and service level reporting
- Mentor and participate in induction for volunteers within the family service.
- Provide guidance and peer supervision to team members working with children and young people who are affected by substance use

Person Specification:
- Experience of community engagement and delivering group work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team as well as a strong ability to liaise with and build effective working relationships with other agencies.

- Experience working with families and young people affected by substance use or similar challenges is highly desirable.
- Willingness to undertake relevant training (e.g., Drawing & Talking, group skills, internal programme delivery).

...Our Living Well Nursing Team specialise in palliative care, the compassionate team provide expert advice and support to patients who are living with a life limiting illness. As part of a rehabilitative palliative care approach, we offer advice around the control of symptoms that patients may be experiencing and how these symptoms can best be managed. Our aim is to enable patients to live the best quality of life that they can.
We have an opportunity to join this team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in a part time role working 20 hours per week, this is a fixed term role for 12 months.
We are happy to discuss working hours at interview, but for cover do require working days to be Wednesday ,Thursday and Friday .
This role will work as a core member of the Living Well Services Team to provide expert knowledge to patients and their families / carers. It will be responsible for undertaking holistic assessments of physical, psychological, and social needs of patients to plan, implement and review palliative care plans and therapeutic interventions.
Other main duties will include:
- Contributing towards strategic development of the service and to support and develop skills within the Living Well Services team.
- Deputising for the Living Well Services Lead as required.
- Providing clinical support, information, advice and psychological support to Living Well Service patients, their families and clinicians to avoid unnecessary hospital admissions/ risk of crises and maximise their quality of life.
- Working with other healthcare professionals in the community and hospital settings, sharing knowledge and advice to ensure excellent care is provided.
- Advising regarding future care planning and symptom management to patients with complex symptoms requiring specialist palliative care.
To be successful in this role candidates must be a NMC Registered Nurse with a degree/ diploma in nursing or other health related subject. It’s also required to have post registration experience working within palliative care with experience within training /education and MDT working.
