Main Duties of Service Administrator
In this role, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Barnardo's Scotland Fostering Edinburgh service, ensuring the seamless operation of the Fostering Panel and wider service functions. Your primary focus will be the end-to-end coordination of the panel process, where you will prepare agendas, record high-quality minutes, and manage the efficient distribution of papers while acting as the main point of contact for panel members. You will identify and resolve potential issues in real-time to maintain the momentum of panel business. Beyond the panel, you will uphold vital safeguarding standards by proactively tracking mandatory checks and references to ensure full regulatory compliance for both new applicants and existing foster carers.
You will also be required to manage the general admin inbox and providing essential support to our team of Social Workers to facilitate their daily operations. This varied workload includes coordinating the Foster Carer training program, maintaining accurate records within our central database, and general service administration such as processing medical reports, invoices, and expenses. The ideal candidate will have strong organisation skills, knowledge of IT systems, and be capable of maintaining complex trackers and booking events to ensure our fostering community remains well-supported and compliant.

We are looking for a Rehabilitation Specialist to help us build a healthier nation at our club. We are looking for a Rehabilitation Specialist who will deliver Nuffield Health Rehabilitation Programmes utilising the unique Nuffield Health pathway, championing the Charitable Purpose. This role will play a crucial part in Nuffield’s long-term vision for clinical rehabilitation and will require the Rehabilitation Specialist to undertake remote (digital) and in person facilitation of exercise, emotion wellbeing support, healthy eating, and goal setting to aid the participants recovery. The pathway will involve weekly 1to1s, group exercise classes (virtual and in person), promote goal setting and self-directed activity.
You will demonstrate leadership and influencing skills, be a good communicator, organised and self-motived. As part of this role, you will work collaboratively onsite, centrally and with our Charity team and our beneficiaries. You will need excellent IT skills and hold a Level 3 Personal trainer qualification which is essential for the role. Ideally you will have previous experience working in a Rehabilitation Specialist position and an understanding of rehabilitation, along with potentially a Bsc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation (desired not essential).
As a Rehabilitation Specialist you will:

Organise and run a series of rolling 12-week rehabilitation programmes.

Facilitate and deliver both live stream and in person group exercise classes, with people that have varying degrees of abilities and physical function.

Be able to promote self-directed activity using pre-recorded on demand classes and a journal which will aid in the participants being able to self-manage their condition after the 12-week Programme.

Capability to re-calibrate exercises and intensities based on regular improvements demonstrated by changes in both effort and performance.

Identify any deterioration of participants and if necessary follow internal escalation processes, ensuring reporting is processed within a specific timeframe and that outcome data is accurately captured, which is essential in supporting our Charitable Purpose and tracking and monitoring participants progress.

Engage in 1to1 telephone conversations each week with every participant to offer coaching in terms of setting short term and long-term goals, understanding restrictions, monitoring progress, understanding and offering emotional wellbeing support, and empowering self-directed activity.

Duties
- To ensure the smooth operation of point‐of‐sale activities and customer service, presenting a high and positive profile to the public for all aspects of the company’s work;

Working in brain injury rehabilitation is different to other kinds of support work. You’re there to encourage and guide individuals, helping them gain the skills and confidence to live independently.

The Role
Thomas Edward Mitton House, part of Brainkind provides care and support for up to 16 people who have acquired brain injury and have a range of cognitive, physical and/or emotional symptoms following their brain injury.
We will train you to provide personalised support to our adult residents. You will follow individual support plans to meet the needs and aspirations of each person. The focus is developing independent living skills: personal hygiene, meal preparation, exercise, leisure activities, socialising – the daily routine of regular life.
It is a really varied job, with all kinds of different activities to organise and participate in – both at TEM House and in the local Milton Keynes community: art, crafts, music, sports, gardening, shopping, swimming, and countless others.
