POSITION SUMMARY
The Executive Operations and Governance Officer will provide high-quality executive and administrative support to EMpowers President & CEO and two Vice Presidents, while also managing and coordinating key governance processes across EMpowers' global entities.
This role will split time equally between Executive Support (50%) and Governance (50%) responsibilities. The position requires strong organisational, communication, and relationship management skills, with an ability to anticipate needs, manage multiple priorities, and maintain discretion and professionalism when working with senior leaders, Board members, and external stakeholders.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Executive Support (50%)
Support to the President & CEO
- Provide comprehensive administrative and executive support to the CEO, including complex calendar management, travel coordination, expense management, and document preparation.
- Support the CEO in preparation of PowerPoint presentations, reports, and other communication materials as needed.
- Manage workflows and actions using automation.
- Anticipate needs, manage priorities, and ensure the CEO is well-prepared for meetings and events.
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and discretion at all times.
Support to the Vice Presidents (VPs)
- Provide general administrative and scheduling support to two Vice Presidents (mainly calendar coordination and meeting logistics).
- Assist in organising internal meetings, tracking follow-ups, and ensuring alignment of schedules with the CEO's office when necessary.
Governance (50%)
- Work with the CEO and Board Secretaries for effective Board meetings, including agenda-setting, preparation of materials and presentations, documenting votes and decisions, finalising transcribed minutes, and managing Board records.
- Manage Board onboarding (materials, signing policies, and scheduling of sessions) and keep updated Board lists internally and for all legal requirements to maintain charity status.
- Lead on Board renewals needed prior to Board meetings.
- Lead on maintaining or assuring compliance with global governance requirements.
- Work with VP People and Ops on research and implementation of an online platform for board management.

The Relationship Fundraising team at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for securing income from individuals, regional businesses and groups fundraising in the community, effectively managing relationships to maximise income.

Job description
Exciting opportunities have arisen to join our clinical administration team in the role of Patient Administration Coordinator, based at Pilgrims Hospices in Thanet.
The Role
Working in conjunction with the Team Leader, you will provide high level, site based administration support to a multi-disciplinary clinical team, maintaining efficient systems and processes relating to patient care across our inpatient units and community.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Liaising and be a first point of call for patients, carers and volunteers who contact the Hospice
- Supporting the inpatient wards to ensure that they are appropriately resourced at all times
- Ensuring accurate entry of information onto the patient database and timely production of administration for on-site meetings
- Working flexibly to ensure that all queries and administrative requirements are dealt with quickly, efficiently and when necessary, sympathetically
- Continuing to coordinate the processes post-death for a patient
- Working within different areas in the hospice to support the wider multidisciplinary team

Working Arrangements
This is a part-time role (28 hours per week) and is based at Pilgrims Hospice Thanet. You will be provided with on-site parking and subsidised meals during your work day.

To be successful in this role you should:
- Have significant relevant experience in an administrative role ideally within a healthcare or charitable organisation.
- Be fully IT literate, particularly in the use of databases and Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
- Be organised and able to demonstrate high standards of verbal and written communication
- To demonstrate the ability to project empathy as required and frequently deal with matters of a sensitive and at times distressing nature

Gifts in Wills are an essential part of Myton’s fundraising, enabling us to continue supporting patients and families across Coventry and Warwickshire. Job Purpose
Support the smooth and secure delivery of examinations by supervising students in a variety of exam settings. You will ensure that exams are administered efficiently and conducted in line with university regulations, maintaining academic integrity and creating a calm, supportive environment for students.
In addition to carrying out standard invigilation duties, you will co-ordinate invigilation teams in larger or more complex exam settings. You will act as a point of contact for colleagues seeking support or clarification on more complex issues and ensure procedures are applied consistently.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Oversee the preparation of examination venues and ensure correct layout, seating plans, signage, and equipment are in place.
2. Brief invigilation teams on any exam or venue-specific instructions, prior to each exam.
3. Co-ordinate a team of invigilators, assigning roles and ensuring duties are completed effectively.
4. Carry out all standard invigilator duties, including candidate supervision, distributing and collecting materials
5. Act as the main point of contact for Registry during the exam.
6. Monitor conduct throughout exams, ensuring consistency and compliance with exam regulations
7. Manage incidents and student issues calmly and appropriately during exams, escalating to Registry where necessary.
8. Ensure accurate completion of paperwork, including attendance, incident reports, and reconciliation of exam scripts.
9. Ensure proper timekeeping. and communicate key timings to both candidates and invigilators.
10. Maintain a professional and confidential approach and provide feedback to contribute to improvements in exam processes.

Supporting our primary research
