Stepping Stones is one of the premier private learn-to-swim providers in Scotland, renowned for our high-quality, low-ratio swimming lessons for children. We are seeking a dedicated Venue Lead - Swimming Teacher to join our team, someone who can lead by example and ensure the seamless delivery of our swim program. Role Overview:
As part of the Venue Lead - Swimming Teacher role, you will deliver high quality lessons, you will act as the eyes and ears on the ground, ensuring the day-to-day smooth operations of our swim lessons within our venues. This includes supporting newly qualified teachers, dealing with customer feedback, assessing class levels, and maintaining strong connections with facility staff such as facility mangers or club managers. Your role will be instrumental in linking the teaching staff and venue staff with the office and ensuring the high standards of Stepping Stones are met and exceeded.
Qualifications: * National Governing Body Swimming Teacher Certificate (Essential) SSTQ | UKCC | STA | ASA *
Proven experience in a leadership role within a swim instruction environment. * NRASTC or NPLQ qualification required
Main Duties:
A commitment to deliver a minimum of 5 days per week with Stepping Stones Oversee the delivery and progression of swimmers within our program, ensuring the highest quality of instruction Support and mentor newly qualified teachers, providing guidance and feedback Manage customer feedback and ensure swift resolution of any issues Assess class levels and adjust lesson plans as needed for optimal learning outcomes Facilitate communication between the delivery team and office staff, ensuring smooth operations Maintain strong relationships with facility staff to ensure a positive environment for our swim lessons Attend monthly training days (Stepping Stones Head Office EH21 8RX).
Additional Requirement: Clean driving license & ability to travel to various Stepping Stones venues within region.

Swimming Teachers Level 2 The Role We are seeking fully qualified Level 2 swimming teachers to join our committed team at Churcher’s College Swim School and support our other swimming programmes. The Swim School continues to grow and we are now looking for additional members to join the teaching team. Our aim is to deliver lessons which motivate, educate and encourage children of varying abilities. We are passionate about learning to swim and developing technique. The Swim School runs Learn to Swim classes with a maximum six per class, Fitness and Technique sessions and private lessons across a range of ages and abilities. Volunteer Class Teacher Our mission is to provide information and support for anyone affected by cancer, offering practical ways of enhancing physical, psychological and emotional wellbeing. The Mulberry Centre (TMC) offers Wellbeing Classes for people with a diagnosis of cancer and their carers. All classes are recognised as having positive benefits and are given with the aim of relieving stress related symptoms through relaxation, improved breathing and increased activity. Time commitment: Regular weekly slot of 1 hr class with admin time – total 90 mins minimum Main Duties • To facilitate 1 weekly class for clients with a cancer diagnosis, carers and bereaved. • Each class teacher needs to be able to adapt the class to the needs of the individual, depending on the client’s condition, as far as is reasonable. • We are offering Wellbeing Classes such as Pilates, Yoga, Seated Yoga & Tai Chi – we are looking for teachers qualified in any of these on addition to dance classes, weights or general exercise. Volunteer Specification We are committed to providing the highest quality of care and practitioners are expected to: ▪ Have studied and qualified at a recognised college/school. ▪ Be a member of their professional body if applicable. ▪ Have personal, professional indemnity insurance. ▪ Consider, or be undertaking, further professional development. ▪ ▪ Must not have had personal experience of cancer (either themselves or a close family member) Ideally have been qualified in their practice and actively practising for one year. or have been bereaved within the preceding two years. • Experience of working with small groups/classes. About the role:
As an Electrical Installations Tutor, your role will encompass delivering practical and theoretical electrical training, aligning with company, and awarding organizations' guidelines.
You'll handle courses such as C&G 2365 Level 2 & 3, C&G 2382, C&G 2391, C&G 2377, C&G 2921, as well as BPEC Solar PV and Battery Storages, while possibly developing training materials to meet specific requirements.

EAL TEACHER JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: EAL TEACHER Responsible to: Director of Studies Main Purpose: To plan and execute a range of high-quality English lessons for pupils aged 8-17 years old, in line with the Sedbergh International Summer School curriculum, delivering and managing classes with energy and enthusiasm. To support our pupils as they improve their English language skills. Course Dates: The academic element of the course in 2026 will run for 4 weeks, and we will be offering contracts of varying lengths, depending on the candidates’ availability and experience and our student numbers. All candidates must attend on-site induction prior to the start date (outlined below). If candidates have holidays, weddings, graduations etc booked, they must mention this at the interview stage. Time off for such events cannot be guaranteed otherwise. The course is run on the Senior School campus (Sedbergh), with three London trips running throughout the course. See breakdown of dates below (subject to change). - - - - 27th – 30th June 2026: London trip 30th June – 25th July: Senior School campus at Sedbergh (induction begins on 27th June or 2nd July, depending on contract start date) 18th – 21st July: London trip 25th – 28th July: London trip Summer School roles are residential and involve variable hours, including evenings and weekends. Weekly pay reflects both active working hours and periods of standby/on-call duty. Staff receive one full day off per week and reasonable daily rest periods. The school cannot cover the cost of travelling to and from the school. Roles and Responsibilities Outline of Expectations: • Academic role: 15 hours of English tuition per week. • Excursions: participate in one full-day excursion per week, leading at least one of these within their contract. • Extra-curricular: participate in 2 activity slots per week (1 evening and 1 afternoon), as outlined on the Teams Schedule. • Pastoral: participate in 1 overnight residential duty per week (outlined on Teams Schedule); supervise children at breaktimes on a rota basis; occasionally escorting pupils across campus. Course Duties: • As directed by the DoS and ADoS, prepare and deliver structured, enjoyable English lessons in line with the Sedbergh Summer School curriculum. • Maintain accurate records of work such as lesson plans and class registers. • Contribute to weekly reports, providing comments and English level assessments for your students, to strict deadlines. • Ensure students actively participate in lessons. • Provide a positive, engaging and controlled classroom learning environment within which pupils can confidently develop their language skills. • Attend the end of week celebration assembly, presenting certificates to departing pupils. • Assisting with any British Council inspections and providing support to the ADoS/ DoS. • Leading weekly city excursions according to the excursion schedule, supporting a designated group of pupils and ensuring all relevant procedures and protocols are followed to ensure our pupils’ safety, enjoyment and well-being. • Working alongside the Social Media Coordinator, providing photographic and/or video evidence of classroom activities, following strict school protocols, to be included in social media campaigns. • Providing effective support to students as required, monitoring and managing conduct and behaviour to ensure a harmonious international community. • Engaging with the students outside of class in a friendly yet professional manner. • Assisting with the supervision of pupils during mealtimes and break times. • Assist in the boarding house one night per week (until dismissed by the house team, and for wake up the next morning).
