Introduction
New College Worcester is a residential School and College for young people aged 11– 20 who are blind or vision impaired. Outside the College timetable, our Activities Team works with our young people on leisure activities, outdoor pursuits and sports that challenge our young people both physically and mentally, improving their health and crucially building confidence, self-esteem and independence.
The Activities Department aims to offer activities for all students. We provide a range of camps, residential experiences and overseas trips. There is an onsite youth club that offers a range of tactile craft activities as well as fun games such as darts, pool and showdown. Students are also supported to attend clubs and other events in the wider community. Through the activities that we provide, we aim to enhance the students time and experience here at the College and to develop their personal and social skills.
Our work with the students takes place primarily outside of normal school hours, in the evenings (between16.00 and 21.00) and at the weekends, including overnight stays on trips. The role involves both leading and helping other staff to run the activities. It also involves driving both the College cars and minibuses as an integral part of the role as many activities take place off-site.
Purpose of the job:
To support and work closely with the Activities Co-Ordinator and, where appropriate, other colleagues to provide a programme of activities, primarily outside the normal school teaching day (evenings and weekends) and involving residential trips which will require flexibility in days and hours.
Main responsibilities:
- To support the devising, publication and delivery of a programme of regular and occasional activities to suit all young people at New College Worcester including a programme of camps and residential experiences.

We are looking for Play workers in the South Gloucestershire Area.
Supporting disabled children and young people at learning disability charity Brandon Trust’s holiday play schemes; it’s a rewarding role where you choose to work the days, schemes and venues that suit you throughout the Educational holidays.
The children enjoy fun activities at schemes that run in the February, Easter, summer and October school holidays in Yate, Bradley Stoke and Staple Hill. The play schemes operate Monday to Friday in the summer and Easter school holidays, and occasionally three days a week in other school holidays. Hours of work are generally 9:00 am – 3:30 pm, although there may be the occasional longer day.

Senior Statistician
The Senior Statistician will lead the design and delivery of complex survey methodology, including sampling, weighting and advanced analysis. The role involves developing new statistical approaches, providing expert advice to researchers and clients, and contributing to high-quality research outputs and proposals with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Design sampling and weighting schemes from scratch with minimal input from other statisticians.
- Select survey samples using statistical software with minimal input from other statisticians; check/QA samples generated by other statisticians.
- Generate survey weights for survey analysis with minimal input from other statisticians; check/QA weights generated by other statisticians.
- Review, develop and implement new methodology related to survey design and analysis with minimal supervision.
- Undertake complex data analysis using techniques such as logistic regression and Latent Class Analysis (LCA). Advise/teach researchers and customers on statistical and methodological issues with support from other statisticians.
- Be part of the tendering process for research projects – both contributing to Research Proposals and being a member of the team for tendering interviews.

Your role
As an Occupational Health Technician, you will be tasked with focusing on the following areas:
- Plan and deliver our health surveillance programmes
- Extensive travel throughout the UK, Ireland, Channel Islands and Isle of Man to deliver our services
- Deliver health surveillance on the Isle of Wight and Poole at our manufacturing facilities where we build our Inshore Lifeboats and All Weather Lifeboats
