We will support you to do this by offering an extensive autism specific training programme.
Autism Practitioners work as part of a team to:
- Develop, review and implement personalised support plans for the supported individual,
- Build positive relationships with the supported individual,
- Work in partnership with the supported individual, and their support network,
- Work with stakeholders to ensure the supported individual’s life goals and aspirations are at the centre of their support.
On a day-to-day basis, Autism Practitioners enable supported individuals:
- To take part in their chosen activities, and access local community opportunities,
- To help maintain their tenancies and support them to make the decisions that matter to them.
- To promote independence and active citizenship, community inclusion, support with household chores. Required support may include personal care.
As part of your role, you will be required to undertake shift work, including weekends and evenings, so flexibility towards working hours is key.

Autism Initiatives is a registered charity providing specialist autism services, tailored to each individual. We are seeking to recruit friendly and dedicated Support Workers to join us at our Resource Centres in Blackpool. This Centre will provide a flexible, seven-day-a-week support service designed to meet the diverse needs of autistic individuals and their families.
We are looking for people who would be interested in making a difference to the lives of adult autistic people. Ideally you would have a background or understanding of supporting people with autism, but if not don’t worry, we have great training and a friendly team to support you every step of the way.

You will support autistic adults in a safe, supportive environment that offers a wide range of bespoke activities, resources and opportunities for social interaction and skill development.
As a Resource Centre Support Worker, you will also deliver personalised support that is tailored to individual needs, that encourage community access and participation in activities of their choice.
Our Resource Centre will also offer flexible respite options for families and caregivers and provide specialised support that will assist young people in developing life skills.

We recognise that seasonal staff are often outdoor professionals with a wealth of experience at other companies that can enrich and improve our adventure activity experiences and as a new staff member, you'll play a key role in delivering the outstanding service that Stubbers is known for. The starting pay scale for new instructors begins at £8.70, and will vary in accordance with the national minimum wage. As you gain more experience and demonstrate strong performance, there may be opportunities for pay increases.
On-site accommodation is available in limited quantities. Rent covers all costs except food, and you'll need to provide your own bedding. Organisational Context Quo Vadis Trust (QVT) is a specialist housing charity (registration number 1116196) in South- East London. We provide a service to people living with mental health and behaviours that challenge. QVT currently provides homes to approximately two hundred people in South- East London. Our range of support both on and off the premises helps each individual client to maximise their independence. 2. Job Purpose To provide high-quality support to our clients, we focus on understanding the reasons behind their behaviour, life history, and both physical and emotional needs. Our aim is to help them recover, move on, and rebuild their lives. As a Positive Behaviour Support Worker, you will be responsible for managing and key working a caseload of adults with various mental health challenges and needs. These may include anxiety, depression and bi-polar disorder and other diagnoses, as well as issues such as substance misuse and difficulties in trusting support services. One of the challenges in this role will be to encourage clients to engage with the recovery process. You will collaborate with your clients to develop individual support and needs plans and establish SMART goals to maximise their potential for recovery. In this role, you will greet new clients, assess their risks, and facilitate an induction process to welcome them into our services. You will also provide advice on welfare and benefits, so a strong understanding of universal credit, housing and homelessness legislation is beneficial. We are seeking friendly Support Workers to join our service in the Gateacre/Belle Vale area of Liverpool. This is a Supported Living service for 3 people supported in a 3 bedroom property The people supported enjoy accessing their local community. We are seeking Support Workers who will work alongside the manager, staff team and people supported, who will provide autism specialist support that contributes to the people we support achieving quality of life.
Your role as a Support Worker will be central in supporting people we support in a personalised way in order to achieve their goals and aspirations. You will be required to work with, and under direction of the Service Manager. You will be responsible for ensuring all support needs are met in a personalised centred manner ensuring all wants, needs, choices are met for the person supported. You will be required to work on a rota basis including evenings, weekends and sleep in duties.
An NVQ or Diploma Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care is desirable, but a genuine passion for providing person centred support is key to being successful in the role of a Support Worker. In return, Autism Initiatives will provide you with a full induction and ongoing learning to support you to obtain qualifications pertinent to the role.
