About the Role

Real Life Options is a national social care provider, and we’re looking for someone like you to join our team. We will support you on your career path to learn, develop, and grow.
You’ll become part of a dedicated team of experienced support workers, assisting individuals in their own homes. On a typical day, you’ll help promote independence and support people to meet their chosen goals. This includes help with daily living skills such as personal care, medication administration, cooking, and household tasks.
The individuals we support enjoy a variety of meaningful activities each day, and you’ll play a key role in encouraging and enabling them to achieve their life goals in a safe and happy environment. You’ll work both independently and as part of a supportive team.
What You'll Do
- Support individuals with personal care, medication, cooking, and household tasks
- Encourage social interaction with friends, family, and community events and promote independence
- Communicate with medical professionals and implement support plans and risk assessments
- Maintain clear and accurate records of support provided

About the Role
At Real Life Options we provide person centred support to enable the PWS to live the life that they choose. Support is uniquely tailored to each individual, ensuring they have choice and control over the planning and delivery of their support. You will support them to reach their potential by providing both physical and emotional support, along with encouraging them to develop positive relationships and achieve their goals.
You’ll be working alongside an experienced and friendly team in a role that gives you the opportunity to make a real difference. We’re looking for committed and caring individuals who have great communication skills.
What You'll Do

Fife Council through Fife Health and Social Care Partnership have introduced an hourly rate enhancement until the end of March 2026.

You will be supporting two active gentleman within our Supported living setting, taking them out in the community to local Zumba classes or walking in the National Trust Parks. As a support worker you will assist people with daily living tasks which may include, domestic services, social support and help with finances, personal care, support with medication and meal preparation. We deliver creative, dynamic and person-centred services providing a range of individualised support to people living in shared supported living properties on a 1.1 basis. Real Life Options is a registered charity currently going through a period of growth, and we are continuing to search for permanent contracted Support Workers who really want to make an impact on the lives of the people we support.
The role
Across all services, the individuals we support have autism, learning disabilities and at times can display challenging behaviour, therefore you must have the ability to follow detailed support plans in order to ensure a consistent approach. Permanent Contracted hours: Full Time/Part Time Previous experience is essential with PEG full training will also be provided. Driving is desirable. An enhanced Adult and Child DBS is required for this role.

This is not a care role. You will be working from one of our supported services providing support to our customers in a variety of ways. For example, connecting them with employability coaches and other support agencies, helping them manage their money, signing up for benefits or to move on to a more permanent home.
It will be your job to help boost their confidence and support them on their journey as they rebuild their lives. Through all of this you will need to keep records of everything, so there is some admin to do. At times this role is tough, but most of the time it can be incredibly rewarding. You will need to be resilient, empathetic, and able to leave your work at work and not take it home with you.About you
We are looking for someone with:
• Experience of working with vulnerable people
• Experience of delivering structured support and risk management
• To be a team player with a caring and empathetic nature with a resilient, can-do attitude, able to work as part of a team
• An understanding of supporting vulnerable people – this could include having your own lived experience of homelessness or drug or alcohol addiction.
