Stokenchurch Dog Rescue (SDR) is looking to secure the services of an externally appointed Dog Trainer who can commit to 6 hours per week to support the development of our centre-based rescue dogs.
As our appointed Trainer, you will work directly with our rescue dogs helping them build the skills and confidence needed for adoption.
SDR is committed to using positive, reward-based reinforcement training methods. To maintain our high welfare standards and ensure our rescue dogs continue to thrive and develop, we require candidates to be ATBC‑registered and ideally CCAB‑certified.
We need the successful externally appointed trainer to help with the following;
- Delivery of dog training and behavioural guidance for our centre dogs
- Creating and implementing written training plans for our centre dogs
- Regularly reviewing the training plans to ensure they remain effective, achievable and supportive of each dog's progress within the kennel environment
- Communicating the training plans clearly to our staff to ensure consistent continuous development for the dogs.
The externally appointed contractor must hold their own public liability insurance to undertake this work. A copy of this policy will be requested for review before their services are engaged.
Services will be delivered under a formal service agreement outlining the scope of work, expectations, and terms of engagement.

About the Role
As an HCA at the Mary Hare Hearing Centre, you’ll work closely with our experienced Audiologists to provide high-quality, person-centred hearing care.
Depending on your experience and training, your responsibilities may include:
- Conducting initial hearing screenings for new clients;
- Providing aftercare services such as hearing aid cleaning, re-tubing, and troubleshooting;
- Guiding patients on the use and care of their hearing aids;
- Performing delegated clinical tasks such as otoscopy and impression taking (following training and competency checks);
- Performing hearing aid adjustments for existing clients;
- For qualified candidates: independently delivering wax removal services and HCA-led clinics
- Managing appointments, hearing aid orders, and patient records;
- Helping maintain a well-organised, welcoming, and professional clinic environment.
You’ll receive full support and supervision from our Audiology team. For candidates new to the role, we’ll provide structured in-house and external training leading to recognised HCA competency.

We have an opportunity for a Primary education specialist to join our team as a Senior Lecturer in Primary Initial Teacher Education.
The role involves contributing to our well established undergraduate and postgraduate teacher training routes and helping to lead the continuous development of our Primary initial teacher education provision delivered through our partnership.
We are seeking a highly motivated, well organised and passionate individual who can engage trainees in developing their knowledge and understanding of the Primary curriculum. The post requires you to work closely with colleagues in partner schools to establish and maintain links to ensure all trainees receive quality mentoring and support during their training experience. In addition to this, the Senior Lecturer role will require experience of leading and managing in education. This might be a subject or curriculum area, a phase or year group or any other relevant initiative. The role will come with some leadership and management responsibilities.

Your role
As a Plant and Machinery Trainer, you will act as a subject matter expert and you will play a key role in delivering high quality, competence based training and verification to both staff and volunteers, including local trainer assessors. You will ensure that all training sessions are engaging, practical and aligned with the latest operational practices. By maintaining a strong focus on quality and consistency, you will help build and sustain a capable, confident team equipped to operate effectively in demanding environments.

Tuesday - 4.00pm to 6.30pm
Friday - 4.00pm to 5.00pm
Saturday - 8.45am to 11.45am

Duties and responsibilities

Plan and carry out swimming lessons to increase customer skill and confidence

Provide feedback to customers to help them improve their swimming skills

Ensure customers are aware of the risks in the water and build confidence to overcome any barriers

Run a safe and clean activity, taking care of the resources which are needed to deliver the services on offer

Skills qualities and experience

Experience of instruction groups of mixed age and abilities

Knowledge of the National Plan for Swimming Teaching

STA Award qualification

Good oral communication and interaction skills

Flexible approach to working hours including days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays

Swimming Teacher - Multiple Vacancies
This is a permanent position with set working hours and days. We are looking for swim teachers to cover: Monday 3.30pm -6.30pm, Tuesday 4pm - 6pm, Friday 4pm - 6.30pm and Saturday 8.30am - 12.30pm
Do you have an STA Award or Certificate or a Swim England Level 2 Qualification in Teaching Swimming, and experience of teaching a diverse customer base? Do you have the passion to teach swimming?
