Creative Arts East is an arts and community development charity committed to bringing the very best arts and cultural activities to rural and/or under-engaged audiences across Norfolk, Suffolk and the wider Eastern region. Made up of ‘Creative Socials’ which provide monthly participatory workshops and ‘Afternoon Events’ offering live performances and cinema screenings every other month, all events are free to people aged 50+ across Norfolk. Current groups are active in Attleborough, Dereham, Great Massingham, Great Yarmouth, Hunstanton and Thetford, with a new group starting in King’s Lynn in March 2025. Creative Socials include a dynamic range of activities including music making, visual arts and crafts, contemporary movement, and Caribbean dance, to name a few. We aim to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for anyone who wants to try something new, make new connections and have a cup of tea and a slice of cake! What is the opportunity? We’re looking for positive, energetic people who would like to help us run these sessions. This will involve: • Supporting set up and clearing away before and after the sessions, involving tasks such as setting up tables and chairs and helping unload and pack away the artist’s equipment. • Making the participants and artists feel welcome and comfortable during the session. • Encouraging and supporting participants to get stuck in with the activities. • Helping to make teas, coffees, cut cake and wash up. • Support new participants to complete their introductory booklets to capture key information such as medical or dietary requirements. What you will experience Besides the satisfaction of helping older people to express themselves creatively, volunteers will also receive: • Access to free training, including dementia-awareness training. MAIN PURPOSE:
To provide strategic, professional leadership to the multi/inter disciplinary team within Kerwin Court, ensuring the planning and development of a systematic response to service need. Research and development will be a major responsibility as will taking a major role in the development and implementation of policy for the service system as a whole. To provide clinical services at a high level of expertise, supporting and advising colleagues on all issues concerned with neuropsychological clinical practice and providing expert clinical consultation and professional guidance to clinical neuropsychologists, clinical psychologists and other clinicians within Brainkind.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your responsibilities will include:
- ensuring the provision and development of high quality, innovative, and evidence based neuropsychological rehabilitation practice.
- providing specialist psychological assessment of our service users, using psychological and neuropsychological tests, self-report scales, structured observations and interviews; - formulating and implementing specialist psychological treatment plans for mental health and adjustment difficulties based on a multi-factorial psychological understanding and current evidence-based best practice;
- contributing highly specialist psychological advice to the multi-disciplinary formulation of appropriate therapeutic approaches or intervention plans, and supervising their implementation; - undertaking psychologically based risk assessment and risk management for relevant service users and advising team members appropriately;
- participating in multidisciplinary team meetings concerned with the delivery and development of clinical services; - Supporting Service Managers/Regional Managers in all aspects of managing the service and to report to the Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist.
ABOUT YOU:
What are we looking for?
- The successful applicant will have a doctorate in clinical psychology (or equivalent) accredited by the BPS. It is essential that you are able to gather, analyse and interpret complex multi-factorial clinical information, and formulate this so as to effectively direct team working.
- We are looking for an individual who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to deal with complex and emotive subjects.
- You will have excellent organisation skills, the ability to prioritise workloads, the ability to administer and interpret a range of psychometric tests, and a track record of conducting clinical research or audit.
- We are looking for a clinical psychologist with experience in neurorehabilitation, an interest in neuropsychology, and motivated to develop an excellent service further.

We require a Domestic Assistant to join our professional team to provide a high-quality cleaning service based primarily on the Inpatient Wards at the hospice.
You will be responsible for cleaning different areas across the Hospice including clinical areas, patient areas, infected areas, non-clinical areas, corridors and staff areas to the highest of cleanliness standards.
Excellent communication skills are essential as is a friendly, polite and helpful manner as you will be interacting with patients, relatives, visitors and other members of staff across the Hospice. You must also be flexible in order to meet the needs of the service. Ideally you will have a good knowledge of manual handling techniques and COSHH. Experience of working in a healthcare setting is required, however training in all settings will be provided
Experience in a similar role would be an advantage.

About the Role
Skomer Island is the largest seabird colony in southern Britain, supporting the world’s largest colony of Manx shearwaters as well as nationally and internationally important numbers of puffin, razorbill, guillemot, kittiwake, fulmar and lesser black-backed, herring and great black-backed gulls. The waters around the island are designated as a Marine Conservation Zone and, on land, Skomer is one of the largest breeding sites in Wales for short-eared owls and the last place in Pembrokeshire where curlew breed.
If you can identify British seabirds and demonstrate some knowledge of seabird and marine ecology then this could be the early career experience you are looking for! We’re seeking someone who can demonstrate experience of wildlife survey and monitoring techniques and data collection, and would embrace the chance to live on the island for four months.
You’ll also be an enthusiastic ambassador for the island and the marine environment, willing and confident to share information with day trippers, Wildlife Trust supporters and other stakeholders. Main Responsibilities
- Engaging with day trippers, including delivery of welcome talks and ensuring safe arrival and departure from the island. Responding to general enquiries.
- Guide educational groups visiting Skomer on day trips when requested.
- Assist with residential events on Skomer for under-represented groups, including young people.
- Wildlife monitoring and recording to include; breeding bird surveys, seabird census, seabird productivity monitoring, vegetation surveys and mapping ground nesting birds.
- Monthly biosecurity checks
- Lead volunteers when required
- Maintenance of buildings, infrastructure and vehicles.
- Path maintenance and practical estate work.
- Report on grant funded activities in a monthly progress update as required by WTSWW and the grant funders.
- Share news and stories about the island, marine wildlife and the wider marine environment in blogs and content for our supporter’s newsletters.
- Liaise with contractors and other members of WTSWW staff working on Skomer.
