This role is Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week, with one Saturday per month required to work. The Hive is a social purpose café with emphasis on improving sustainability, making connections with the local community and providing healthy, freshly prepared, natural choices. The Hive Café Assistant will be a key member of a friendly, busy team who champion wellbeing through the delivery of healthy food and drink and social opportunities at The Hive. Job Purpose: To support the Hive Team Leader in the back of house and overall all areas of the café service, with particular emphasis on food preparation. Hours: This role is available full-time, part-time or on a shared Contract basis Overview We are seeking an experienced Quality & Compliance Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of regulatory compliance, governance and quality assurance. The role ensures that all services meet CQC standards and organisational policies, supporting us on our journey to an ‘outstanding’ rating. This is an advisory role, the Quality & Compliance Manager does not undertake operational care delivery, but holds Registered Managers and teams accountable through audits, reporting and continuous monitoring. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills with the ability to implement and manage effective compliance programmes. Key responsibilities: Governance & Compliance • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, Fundamental standards and relevant legislation. • Develop and maintain a structured audit schedule across all care domains. • Monitor audit outcomes, safeguarding, incidents, complaints, and action plans, escalating significant risks as needed. • Act as the organisation’s GDPR lead, ensuring data protection policies are implemented, regular risk assessments are developed, staff are trained and breaches are appropriately managed and reported. • Maintain up to date knowledge of regulatory changes and advise leadership and teams accordingly. Policy & Procedure Management • Oversee implementation and use of policy software (e.g. QVS) • Ensure policies are current, GDPR compliant, accessible and understood by staff. • Monitor adherence to policies and escalate non-compliance. Reporting & Quality Improvement • Produce monthly KPI dashboards, compliance reports and trend analyses. • Identify patterns, emerging risks, and areas for improvement across services. • Support Registered Managers in developing and monitoring improvement plans. • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning. Audit & Inspection Readiness • Prepare & collaborate with Registered Managers in readiness for CQC inspections and external audits. • Ensure evidence, documentation and processes are ready for review. • Advise management on remedial actions for gaps identified. Advisory & Partnership Working • Provide guidance to Registered Managers on compliance matters. • Escalate critical issues to the Senior Management Team • Collaborate with clinical and operational staff, HR and other stakeholders, on business critical planning, including business continuity, emergency plans and major incident planning. We require team players with excellent communication skills who want to deliver a high level of care and support, whilst maintaining safety standards at all times in line with company policies. Full training will be provided. This role is based in Godalming, Surrey. As a Support Worker, you will deliver person-centred care and support to our residents, in line with their personal care plans. Key Responsibilities Include: • To fulfil all duties of a Support Worker role, as well as the Senior Support Worker role. • Assist the manager with the management of the team and organise the team in their absence. • • • To supervise and manage support workers and bank staff, including their appraisals, supervisions and induction where appropriate. To support other senior staff and assist in the implementation of management decisions. Previous experience of care work is essential and full training will be provided. This role is full time (38 Hours per week) Key Responsibilities Include: • To provide the direct care provision for all aspects of the individual resident’s assessed needs in line with their care plan. • Assist the manager with the management of the team and organise the team in their absence. • To supervise and manage support workers and bank staff, including their appraisals, supervisions and induction where appropriate. • To support other senior staff and assist in the implementation of management decisions. • Follow all Policies and Procedures. • Assisting individual residents, where needed, with personal care. • Administering and storage of prescribed medication in line with legislation. • Assisting individual residents with their mobility, where appropriate. • Helping individual residents, where needed, to feed themselves. • Overseeing and helping, in the serving and the preparation of meals and drinks. • Ensuring that each resident receives a well-balanced diet. • Communicate and convey relevant information about the residents to team members, in order that the individual plan of care may be regularly updated, and appropriate care given provided, paying attention to any changes observed in the resident’s physical, medical or psychological condition. • Reporting immediately to the senior staff in charge, any accident or untoward incident, which may occur to a resident, member of staff or visitor. • Be aware of the steps to take in line with Safeguarding Adults at Risk Policies should an allegation of abuse be witnessed or made by you. • To follow as appropriate the procedures of handling Medication including asking a senior member of staff to administer any drug prescribed “as required” which may include analgesics, laxatives and diazepam. • To attend 1:1 supervision meeting with your line manager every six weeks. • To follow as instructed any reasonable instruction given by your line manager, manager or senior manager as required. • Any other reasonable tasks that may be required. • To be conversant with and implement Meath policies and procedures.
