Set in the main grounds of the park, Coram’s Fields Nursery provides one of the most unique childcare offers in London, delivering excellence through our qualified and highly experienced team and with the benefit of full access to our seven acre site. We are looking for an exceptional individual to become part of our dedicated team, to help deliver high quality childcare within our setting, playing an important role in the continuing growth and development of the Nursery.
Role Summary:
The Early Years practitioner role is an integral part of Coram’s Fields Nursery providing high quality childcare within our setting, playing an important role in the continuing growth and development of the nursery.
Main Responsibilities:
1. To work as part of the Nursery team to effectively deliver the EYFS ensuring that the individual needs and interests of children in the setting are met.
2. To plan and provide a safe, stimulating, rich learning environment which recognises the individual needs of the child.
3. To maintain accurate records of key children’s development and learning journeys and share with parents, carers, and other key adults in the child’s life.
4. To reflect the importance of practitioner input to the senior staff team, to support the continual development of the setting.
5. To develop and maintain strong partnerships and communication with parents/carers to facilitate day to day caring and the identification of early learning needs.
6. To be responsible for reporting any concerns regarding the welfare and safety of the children in the nursery.
7. To work alongside the Manager and staff team to ensure the ethos and values of Coram’s Fields are upheld at all times.
8. To plan and supervise a range of outings for the children.
9. To support nursery assistants, students and volunteers.
10. To ensure good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness and maintained at all times.

We are pleased to be recruiting to the role of Grounds Person. This is a varied and fully operational role, focused on the maintenance and upkeep of Coram’s Fields’ grade-II listed grounds, buildings and facilities. If successful, alongside colleagues in our Grounds Team, your work will help us continue to provide a save haven for children and young people in central London.

Responsibilities include:
- Day-to-day upkeep of Coram’s Fields’ park, playground, buildings and facilities.
- Various grounds and building maintainance tasks inlcuding, but not limited to: gardening, park tidying, cleaning, painting and decorating, small carpentry works, repairs to fixtures and fittings, all subject to skills and appropriate qualifications.
- Work to implement Coram’s Fields’ hard and soft landscape management plan and ongoing building maintenance schedule.
- Support a range of events and hires that run throughout the year in our park and community spaces.
- Work to deliver community and corporate volunteer opportunities.
- Provide a visible presence across the park, ensuring the safety of visiting children and families and reporting any safeguarding concerns where appropriate.
