We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Safety Support Officer with a strong passion for catering and food safety compliance. In this role, you will work closely with our culinary team to ensure that all food safety standards are adhered to every match.
Working with the Kitchen Manager ensuring the safe and correct implementation of our critical control points in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Ensure temperature checks of hot and cold food are completed to the correct standard every time.
Ensure there is a no cross-contamination within the kitchen.
Ensure each kitchen is working to allergy safe procedures.
Address and resolve any compliance issues immediately to ensure the highest possible standards are achieved.
Complete a match day digital kitchen audit to ensure record keeping is to the highest standard.
This role requires availability on every matchday. Shifts will range from 6 to 8 hours per game. Start times will typically begin 5 hours prior to kick off through to 1 hour after the final whistle. Depending on kick off times there may be the occasional early start or late finish.
Match Day – each shift will start by a full food safety briefing by our Regulatory Services team to set expectations and to support any training needs.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Previous experience in a catering or food service environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with a wide range of people.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
The ability to manage and navigate difficult conversations professionally.
Knowledge of food safety and public health legislation.
A minimum Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene certification.
Understanding of allergens and up-to-date training in allergen management.

We are looking for reliable and hard-working Back of House staff to join the Catering team at the Manchester United Carrington Training Complex. This is a vital support role ensuring the kitchens and service areas are kept clean, organised and running smoothly.
Previous experience in a similar back of house, kitchen porter, or dishwashing role is required. Due to the training ground’s location, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.
Washing, rinsing, sanitizing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. This ensures
cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment by regularly cleaning
surfaces, floors and equipment. Preventing cross-contamination.
Ensure food residue is off dishes and kitchen utensils before sorting and loading
racks of dirty dishes into a professional dishwashing machine.
Sort and return clean plates to their proper storage spot.
Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation.
Report any maintenance issues, shortages or incidents to the appropriate manager.
Flexibility to adapt to various tasks and responsibilities as required by the kitchen’s
needs.
Adhering to Health and Safety standards by following hygiene and safety protocols,
including proper handling of chemicals and cleaning agents.
Proper disposal of food waste, recycling and general kitchen waste in accordance
Valid UK Driving licence and access to own vehicle – The Carrington Training
Complex is not accessible by public transport, so the ability to drive is mandatory.
Proven ability to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in a professional setting.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Ability to work effectively in a high-performance, fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work – including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
Previous experience in a kitchen porter or similar cleaning role in a high-standard
environment is advantageous.
