Where is the showground?

By Car
We are located four miles north of Lincoln, the main entrance to the Showground is at Gate 1, immediately off the A15. Our postcode is LN2 2NA, get directions here. The postcode for Gate 3 is LN1 2ZR and Gate 6 is LN1 2RP. Calculate your fuel costs here.

By Train
Lincoln Central Train station is 15 minutes away by road, or 30 minutes to Newark North Gate Train Station. The train journey from Newark to London Kings Cross is less than 80 minutes.

Where to stay in Lincoln?
The Lincolnshire Showground is situated two miles North of Lincoln, from the A46 Lincoln by-pass. If you're travelling from far away you may want to stay close by, if so there's a great selection of hotels, B&Bs, self-catering accommodation and camping sites nearby to choose from!

We’re looking for an experienced Caretaker to join our small but active team!
About Us
The Lincolnshire Showground, home to the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, hosts a variety of events aimed at promoting Food, Farming, the Countryside and Sustainability. From educational activities to our flagship Lincolnshire Show, we offer diverse and dynamic experiences.
The Role
Hard working and have a “hands-on” attitude. You will also have an eye for detail, and the ability to work quickly. Experience working in a similar role would be an advantage.

Responsibilities
- Compliance and Safety: Overseeing all health and safety regulations to ensure compliance, managing audits and ensuring all facilities are safe, well maintained and ready for the next event.
- Site Maintenance: Leading hands-on maintenance of the buildings and car parks, managing routine upkeep and responding proactively to any issues that arise.
- Event Support: Working alongside various departments to support the setup and smooth running of events, which may include some evening and weekend work.
- Team Leadership: Supervising and training team members to maintain high standards and working alongside the Head of Operations on strategic CAPEX projects, as well as the site’s maintenance plan.
What We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will play a key role with the operation of the Showground and be responsible for the maintenance/ set-up of the buildings on-site and enhancing the overall experience to all visitors.
You will be highly motivated, happy to work independently, excellent attention to detail and driven to deliver outstanding customer service.
